Wizzy is more a free album than a mixtape. The music on WIZZY goes back to the basics. The songs tell stories and really get back to my true roots and storytelling ways over hip hop and rap productions. WIZZY is the name/nickname I had in college and used before I ever switched to “Sam Adams.” Call it a return, call it whatever you want, just listen first. ITS ME. Yesterday Sammy Adams released his long-awaited Homecoming EP. Immediately shooting to #3 on the iTunes hip-hop charts and #8 overall, and climbing. Out of the 6 tracks on the EP there is one for everybody, from party songs to the ones for the ladies. Sammy recently dropped this JayCeeOh remixed version of Taylor Swift’s, “I Knew You Were Trouble”. Listening to the lyrics, it seems as if this could be an ode from Sammy to the young country superstar. Move over Conor Kennedy, Taylor’s too much for you.

In light of Sammy Adams’ birthday today he’s dropping a new mixtape titled, OK COOL. This project will serve as a pre-album, giving everyone a taste of whats to come with his official album that’s in the works. OK COOL features 15 fresh tracks of pure Sammy, no features. Last week I had the opportunity to sit down with Sammy Adams for an “On The Spot” Interview while he was doing a show in Minneapolis, MN. I go beyond the average interview questions you would expect to hear in an interview. We talk about a variety of topics from what wakes him up in the morning to the best date spot in Massachusetts. The interview aside, the show was awesome and he performed some unreleased music.
