Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Travis Barker, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco & more | Hip-Hop

Talk about an all-star line up. The features on this mixtape are pretty impressive, although a few songs are just Travis Barker remixes, and the Whoo Kid tags are annoying. Nonetheless if you’re into the badass drums, and like the tracks below, then you should pick up this mixtape.

If you can look past the DJ Whoo Kid tag at :53, this song is actually real good.

We posted this track back in December, but this is still one of my favorite songs off the mixtape.

Hip-Hop, RnB | Brutha – High Is Coming Down ft. Rick Ross & Twista | Hip-Hop

When I see features from Rick Ross and Twista on tracks in our inbox, I become starry eyed. Those two never let me down. However, I was slightly skeptical about this previously unbeknownst group of R&B singers who bear most the weight of this track. Fortunately, their talents compliment the other two quite well leaving us with a pretty dope track. For more information check out their Facebook Page and follow them on Twitter. Here’s some information the group sent over to us:

What the music industry has been missing is an R&B group that can perform, sing, and bring good music and excitement back to the groups of yesteryear. R&B group Brutha is here to pick up where Jodeci, Boys II Men, and New Edition left off. After having a hit reality show on BET and the release of their self titled debut album in 2008, Brutha experimented with several sounds which resulted in the recording of their sophomore album Vacancy which features [artists like] R. Kelly, Twista, and Rick Ross… Check out the 2nd single off the Vacancy album titled “High is Coming Down” featured by Rick Ross and Twista.

Hip-Hop, Reggae | Mark Hardy, Tinie Tempah, Cali P, Laden & More | Reggae

I need someone to start submitting reggae tracks to our gmail because it takes me forever to find something catchy. One out of fifteen tracks I listen to has both solid production and a catchy hook. And don’t tell me they blow because you cant understand the lyrics, just deal with it by making up your own. Big ups to Mark Hardy for always hitting us with quality tracks.

Hip-Hop | Eminem – Fly Away (Prod by Just Blaze) | Hip-Hop

Here’s Just Blaze’s follow up to his chart topping hit “No Love” which boasted the powerful Em and Wayne duo. I don’t like to be a hater but I’ve got to say the auto-tuned hook doesn’t compliment Shady’s hard verses. (Note: Its also rumored that this was some unused material from Em’s “The Recovery”)

Hip-Hop, Videos | DJ Khaled “Welcome To My Hood” | VIDEO

DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Wayne and T-Pain met while in Florida to film this video. “Welcome To My Hood” is said to be included on Khaled’s forthcoming album, entitled, The Best Forever. Look for Plies in this video, he scares me (he’s a little too hard for SweetE).

BONUS:
This emotional track was written by Eminem for a fallen friend. Obie Trice fills in the chorus nicely.

Hip-Hop | Split Second, Wiz Khalifa, & Rick Ross | Hip-Hop

We are in the process of welcoming Split Second to the FNT team, we just need a minute to throw their page together. You can expect to see many more projects in the near future similar to their most recent Skubtil Target installment. Rumor has it their next mixtape will be called “Barely Legal”, a little corny but I’m sure it’ll bump. Above is the teaser for their music video series which starts with their FNT debut song “Blood Diamond”. Stay tuned, we should be dropping the full video in next week or shortly thereafter. Below is some fresh hip-hop from Wiz and Bawse.

Hip-Hop | Lil’ Wayne, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Rick Ross | HIP-HOP

Us New Yorkers are disappointed. The Jets’ loss was a massive blow to our self esteem. That doesn’t mean, however, that we don’t plan to enjoy this upcoming Sunday Funday. Unlike me, Lil’ Wayne was fortunate enough to have his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers, secure a slot in the Superbowl. Weezy goes hard over Wiz’s “Black & Yellow” beat in order to show some love for his boys.

This track is rumored to be a Recovery left over. Apparently it was recorded circa April 2006 – 2007?! No one in the blogosphere is really sure…However, “Give Me The Ball” is now making its rounds on the internet. If you have yet to hear it, give it a listen below.

This upbeat track features lyricism by Snoop Dogg. Although it most definitely has that mainstream sound, I’m sort of into it (probably because I’m a chick).

So…50 is back?

I hope everyone enjoys this Sunday’s game (get off the cbox and do something with your life)! Oh, and long live the Jets…always reppin’
