The mysterious Torn is back from radio silence with a hard bassy glitchy remix of Labrinth’s “Let It Be,” and faithful to his name, I’m still trying to figure this one out, but when I saw Labrinth behind the original, I knew I had to support, he’s way too underrated to be not supporting his talent. Glad Torn shed light on this talented vocalist, and good to see him back to remixes, the world will soon find out who is behind the alias…. This is a must listen!

As if an Odesza song isn’t cool enough on it’s own, here are six fantastic remixes of “Say My Name”. Most of the remixes on this album keep the upbeat vibes, and added their own flare. My personal favorite is the Emancipator remix because of they way the vocals were used and the rhythm. One remix that stands out from the others is the Ganz remix. It has more of an upfront feel to it, and more pronounced synths. All of these remixes are free on Soundcloud, and if you haven’t already, you can get Odesza’s album “In Return” on Itunes.

But coming back to this world (I know it sucks we have to wait until April), The Chainsmokers deliver a feel filled remix that has the vintage stylistic nuances we have come to know from their past indie remixes. Progressive House | Magic Man – Out Of Mind (Live City Remix)

Ethan of Live City told me I could just write “It’s great, download it now” for a post, but I have a bit higher standards then that. Continuing their trend of indie remixes, Live City release their officially sanctioned remix for Magic Man “Out Of Mind” for free 99. They keep much of the original feel, notably the vocals, but add a cheery melody and poignant piano to the tune. As previously stated, it is free so grab it below.

Progressive House | Sam Smith – Stay With Me (Moiez Remix)

This tune has been hit with an exorbitant amount of remixes, but I urge you to listen to one more. Moiez back to the old style he did on “Flight” for a more progressive trance sound that would possibly jive with Anjunabeats, adding some big, cascading synth chords to the tune. This is free, so there is no downside to getting this one.

UK veteran hip hop, soul / house trio Morcheeba have been riding high on the release of their 8th artist album last year and now with some more big singles and potentially even bigger remixes from the likes of Timo Maas and others. One of these upcoming remixes takes their 2013 single “Make Believer” and adds a different, stripped down spin on the tune from fellow UK artist Dave Davis. He brings his own sound to the tune with chunky synth stabs over atmospheric pads and a steady bass line, all letting Skye Edwards vocals shine. The Axwell & Dirty South remix will always remain king, but in the overwhelming amount of remixes that befell this track over the past few years, it is nice to hear one that is a little different. Going with the tropical, summery brand of house that has been in vogue lately, Shèmce adds his own guitar, whistle and piano to the tune. The summer is almost out so grab this tune for that one last gasp in the season. It is free, so you have to get it.
