Dubstep, Preview, Videos | Tiesto Preview, Guttstar – Catch A Drift EP
Posted by Middy on July 31, 2011
This new Tiesto remix is going to be a banger. It shows his continuing transition away from being only a Trance DJ and branching out more to House and other forms of electronic music. This has angered a lot of people who think he is selling out and not staying with what made him so great. Here is some quality soft dubstep with some glitch influences for your Sunday. Guttstar recently released his 4 song EP Catch A Drift with creative melodies and synth lines, great heavy bass and quality dubstep all the way through. I posted all the songs individually, as well as the whole EP as one file.

Hip-Hop | Tony Moxberg ft. Jadakiss & Emmany – It Was All A Dream
Posted by BIGLIFE on July 26, 2011
Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the visuals to Kid Ink’s “California Dreaming” earlier today when I posted his other tracks. If you’re into CA, you’ll be into this video. And of course I couldn’t keep up these awesome Hip Hop posts without throwing in some quality songs. Haters just #goplankintraffic.

Dubstep | Turmoil (Skrillex Remix) | Dubstep
Posted by GMONEY on July 7, 2011
Alright so above is the original track that Skrillex (who was still going by Sonny Moore at the time) put out years ago, I know it isn’t our usual cup of tea but I figured it’d be cool to post the original track to compare to his remix below. If you’ve been to any of his shows you may have heard him play this, or you may have heard a lesser quality version floating around on the internet. Whether or not this is the final version is still up in the air, judging by the fade-in opening it may still be unfinished. He’s preforming today at Camp Bisco in up-state New York, and tomorrow at Atlantic City, NJ… Who’s going?

Hip-Hop | Rick Ross Ft. Lil Wayne – 9 Piece
Posted by GMONEY on June 26, 2011
I’m speechless right now. I’m just absolutely speechless. How unoriginal could this cop get? The only thing remotely good about this video was that the bawse included southern hip-hop legends 8Ball & MJG. That’s it. Let me say this. I love Rick Ross. I can’t get enough of the bawse. However, if you’re a rapper and you’re still selling dope off your iPhone you’re losing. On top of that, does anyone notice how weak Wayne’s verses have been lately?
Since he decided to get off the purple drank (which Drake is heavily using now) he hasn’t been on the same level musically. It’s like he’s just mailing in verses. Mark my words, Wayne won’t ever do Carter III numbers again. He doesn’t have the hype surrounding him like Drake does. Hell, nobody wants to work with him because he doesn’t pay you. He should drop at least two mixtapes (I know he’s coming with “Sorry For The Wait”) before the album. Somebody hire me as their brand manager already.
I hate to say it, but I can tell Wayne feels under appreciated right now. How do I know this? Because he announced in an interview with XXL that he feels, “under appreciated”. If he wants to feel appreciated again, maybe he’ll step up the quality of his product. I’ll give the bawse a get out of jail free card for now. Besides, It’s deeper than snacks. UGHN!

As a bonus, I’ve included Kevin Cossom’s “Racks” remix. Yes, I know I’m late. I don’t want to hear it in the chatbox. I’m simply posting it because many blogs overlooked it and I prefer this over the original version.

Trey Palms is back at it with a super clean feel good jam produced by V10. V10 creatively samples Florence and The Machine while Trey delivers some quality verses. Trey Palms is just getting heated up and plans to drop a bunch of new stuff leading up to the release of his next mixtape “Not Too Far Away.” Stay up on Trey on facebook
Indie | Strange Talk – Eskimo Boy | Indie Electro-Pop
Posted by BIGLIFE on June 13, 2011
There’s nothing like quality indie electro-pop during the Summer time – am I right or am I right about that? Since I’m right about that, I went on a long scavenger hunt for new artists with music that could keep my ears full at the beach. With their vibe that seems to combine the likes of Phoenix, Cut Copy, Yeasayers and Scissors Sisters to name a few, this group undoubtedly met my requirements. Although they’re on the shorter side of quantity, they make up for it with diverse quality. Support Strange Talk by purchasing their latest EP on iTunes.
