Chill, Hip-Hop, Rap | Jetpack Jones – Life’s a Beach ft. Reem Riches (Prod. By D.Shuts)

Posted by on October 21, 2012

FNT favorite(and veteran) Jetpack Jones releases ANOTHER free, quality, single for his loyal crew. Although I believe that the whole concept of “life is a beach(bitch?)” is overused, the message behind it is deep and meaningful. Jetpack conveys that message in a unique, catchy, and fun way, as he does with so many other mantras. Dubstep, Electro | Wideboys – Addicted to the Bass (Svyable & PRFFTT Remix)

Posted by on September 26, 2012

This remix is hot! Everyone seems to be blending Electro with Dubstep now, but in my honest opinion everyone is doing a terrible job at it. In addition, the Wideboys have some of the best tracks to remix, “Addicted to the Bass” being one of the best choices to test out this blend of genres. Svyable & PRFFTT shows us that there are still up and coming producers who know how to blend genres and come out with a quality track. This remix of theirs is full of energy, energy powered by bass in true style.

Trance | Ferry Corsten feat. Betsie Larkin – Not Coming Down (Dash Berlin 4AM Remix)

Posted by on September 17, 2012

The sixth single from Ferry Corsten’s album WKND drops today, and it’s one that should fall squarely in familiar territory for anyone who’s attended a music festival during the past six months. Ferry has made the dreamlike “Not Coming Down” a centerpiece of many of his livesets since the beginning of the 2012 season, but now the slow and melodic mainstay gets a slick new treatment courtesy of Dash Berlin. The 4AM remix maintains the luminous quality of the original while adding to the drama and intensity with bright, catchy synths and an enormous build that surges through the chorus. It’s out now on Beatport and is set to drop on iTunes and other portals on October 1st.

DO SOMETHING

Drum & Bass, Dubstep | Sub Focus – Out The Blue (Oscillator Z Remix)

Posted by on September 15, 2012

Sub Focus’s Out The Blue had to be my favorite single from him this year because of the outstanding vocals on the track as well as the overall construction, so whenever I saw this remix up on Soundcloud I knew Oscillator Z had some big shoes to fill. He did an impressive job on this remix to say the least. He was able to keep the vocals intact and appealing with the melody spiced up to his liking, which gave it nice electro sounding quality to it. The drumstep drop worked so well with this track keeping the BPM between dubstep and drum and bass with his distorted synths.

Hip-Hop | G-Eazy – LadyKillers (Ft. Hoodie Allen)

Posted by on September 14, 2012

In lieu of their tour, G and Hoodie collab on this artfully crafted G-Eazy beat. A nice laid back tempo and some quality rhymes, which is what we’ve come to expect from both of the two. Cop the song below and be sure to look out for G and Hoodie in your city!

Progressive House | Y LUV – Keep It Rollin’ (Gazzo Remix)

Posted by on August 31, 2012

Another week with Gazzo? Could August be any better? Considering it’s the 31st, no, haha. Gazzo is ending this month with pure awesomeness. He has been releasing a track a week for a little more than a month now and shows no signs of stopping. Sure a lot of other artists have been releasing as consecutively, but how many can say they have kept up the same level of quality as Gazzo? This newest remix release from him might actually be one of my favorites, his instrumentals are flawlessly beautiful. The vocals are not added in too strong, allowing Gazzo’s skills to show more prominently throughout the remix.

Hip-Hop | Sir Michael Rocks & Vic Mensa – So Stupid

Posted by on August 29, 2012

Sir Michael Rocks (Cool Kids) and Vic Mensa (Kids These Days), link up together to go in on this nice soulful beat. This is the final leak off Ruby Hornet’s Closed Sessions Vol. 2 , which I highly suggest checking out because of some quality names, this is probably my favorite off it. Prod. by DJ Babu, this will be on repeat for quite some time. Check out the documentary here too.
