Jack Ritchie’s (AKA Bearcubs) “All This Before” remix is one of the most distinctive songs that I have heard in awhile. As some may believe, electronic music can sound repetitive at times. However, songs like this stand out to us listeners and rekindle the lust. Overall, impressive production talent coming from Jack Ritchie. Let’s hope that we uncover more of his talent in the near future. In the meantime, enjoy this.

Hip-Hop | Latium’s BENJ Drops Somebody (Who Loves You)”

Latium’s BENJ, who’s beginning to make a name for himself in the blogosphere with a slew of catchy remixes and originals, drops his Mark Pelli produced “Somebody (Who Loves You)” that’s Canadian bacon for your ears. Showcasing his vocal chops as heard on his popular “Baby Blue” remix, BENJ paints a picture with his words over atmospheric production that we’ll be pressing play on for weeks to come.

Expect more BENJ music coming your way very soon.

Ladies and gentlemen he is back. Grabbitz has time-after-time impressed the kid with the flawless production and the thoughtful construction of music that he has brought to the table. At this point anything ‘Grabbitz’ branded will sky rocket to the top. This remix to the already powerful original is so smooth, which is a weird term to use for someone who uses heavy bass crunches on repeat. Don’t sleep on this fat remix – grab it.

Nu Disco | Throttle brings the funk with latest remix

Throttle drips with talent which he puts to use with his newest remix of Conrad Sewell’s “Hold Me Up”. This tune gives the vibe of a lit-up dance floor with a bunch people wearing bell bottoms and a creepy guy in the corner with a massive afro… my kind of party. In all seriousness this song is fire and is sure to get the party moving in the right direction. Always love hearing Throttle’s unique production style. Give it a listen and get your freak on.

Future House | Pete Tong Previews Martin Solveig’s Brand New “+1”

Posted by on May 7, 2015

Ah, the plus one. A ubiquitous request made many a times by those in the “the scene”. Martin Solveig is likely no stranger to this request, as he’s toured the world and back with his infectious production and knack for knowing what’s next in dance music. Case and point: “+1” a future house tune previewed by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong that has groove written all over it. Building on the success of his massive “Intoxicated” with GTA, I suspect “+1” out on Spinnin’ Deep will see equally strong results on June 1st.

Hip-Hop | Canada’s BENJ Drops “Without You” Produced by Mark Pelli

Posted by on April 28, 2015

Last night, up-and-coming Toronto native BENJ, who’s been making serious waves in the blogosphere, dropped his “Without You” original produced by the ever talented Mark Pelli. Introspective and jazzy, “Without You” builds on the success of his recent Action Bronson and Chance The Rapper “Baby Blue” remix that gained traction amongst blogs and tastemakers alike. Floating over the atmospheric production, BENJ paints a picture with his words and vocals, reminiscing on a relationship that never panned out. Self-described as a “fresh Canadian making hip-hop music for your ear holes” BENJ is determined to rise above the fray. Keep an eye on him.

Zak Downtown has been at it for a while now, and I keep loving every release! The most recent release is exactly what I think a smash sounds like, roll down the windows and turn up the volume. Not only is the flow on point, but it pairs perfectly with the production as Zak takes us on a sonic journey and the catchy “Kylie Kendall” helps bridge each of the verses.

Make sure you grab the Free Download and definitely give him a Follow on Twitter and Like on Facebook and I can’t wait to hear whats next from this rising star!
