Whose ready for some 90’s disco funk? It excites me that producers like LEFTI exist – producers who find inspiration in classic sounds and blanket them effortlessly with contemporary influences. No doubt the original masterminds behind this piece, Solidisco, are no strangers to this stream of imagination. Debuting the LEFTI project with this remix just elevated our expectations of the producer in the future – but from what I’m hearing the kid is just getting started.

One of the most talented producers of the moment, with his feet still firmly planted on the ground, Prince Fox tackles Australian duo Atlas Bound’s “Tell Me” and goes future with it. The original is a bit more on the deep indie side, but the Prince’s touch brings this one more into pop territory, by layering melody for that crossover appeal to an already great song. ‘I Want You’ is sexy. Cosmic Sense embrace the condition of their name and create this dreamy tune that’ll drift you away into an endless abyss of shining stars. I’m a big fan of what these guys are doing over there. These producers are becoming a quick favourite, with their last tune hitting over 200,000 plays on Soundcloud. With beats this smooth I can only predict a limitless future for the duo.

What is a Hip-hop track without the desire to recite and repeat lyrics? The answer is nothing, you don’t quote Dre or Kendrick because they suck. Sure, people love their beats these days, but that doesn’t make a track. Premiering Nell’s upcoming mixtape, “The Screw Tape”, “Comin Down” turns out to be a dope way to move up. DJ Screw and El Camino Black set the scene for us while Nell takes their seductive beat and flows like the wine of Gaston’s fountain. How can you say no to wine? It’s good for the heart.
