Dubstep | Skrillex & Damian Marley – Make It Bun Dem

Posted by on April 16, 2012

Finally we have something official as far as the Skrillex and Damien Marley collaboration goes. Now all that is left is a release date and hopefully that should be coming soon. I know although this is a preview, I’m sure this will come as a relief to many people. Now all we have to do is wait for the other 30+ tracks Skrillex is holding out on.

Preview, Progressive House | Keane – Silenced by the Night (Alesso Remix)

Posted by on April 2, 2012

Let me just say: whoa. Whoa whoa whoa. Sebastian Ingrosso’s young protege serves up yet another piping hot dish of delicious, stadium-ready progressive house and even though I don’t normally like posting previews this one is too good to pass up. Alesso has been teasing this dazzling melodic gem for the past few weeks (he even dangled it right in front of us during his recent Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1), and now that a full preview is up on Soundcloud it seems pretty clear: this is going to be effing big.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I have to admit that I currently have more questions than answers. How many times am I going to hear this song during the next six months? Will I get sick of it? Why can’t I embed a miniature Alesso into my head so that things like this can be piped directly into my brain at all times? And most importantly: Keane? Where have you been lately? The last time I listened to Keane, I’m pretty sure I was fourteen, being driven to the orthodontist, and sporting a first-gen iPod and a picture of Josh Hartnett in my binder cover. Whatever, we’ve all been there. Stay tuned for the release date and listen to this soon-to-be anthem below.

DO SOMETHING

Dubstep | DJ Fresh – Exhale (Nostalgia Bootleg)

Posted by on March 22, 2012

Thank God for angry musicians, just the other day Rusko went off about how pissed he was at Mad Decent and how he plans to give his new album out for free because of it. Nostalgia leaked out this gem since DJ Fresh dropped it from the ‘Exhale’ release. This track is filthy, leave it to DJ Fresh to screw up an amazing release. Nostalgia turned this into a monster. Like Alvin Risk, Nostalgia is just another nerd with glasses…who likes to make your ears orgasm.

Progressive House | Michael Brun – Rise (Dirty South Edit)

Posted by on March 19, 2012

The day has arrived for Michael Brun “Rise” with a small edit from Dirty South to be released on Dirty South’s Phazing Records. As you saw with the preview, this track was going to be huge and the full version delivers. The driving bass line with varying percussive elements gives way to a easy piano motif and uplifting synth chords that create melody that will force your hands to “Rise” (see what I did there?) into the air. After the jump check out the first episode of Dirty South’s “Phazing Radio” that includes this rip below and many more new and unreleased tracks.

House | James Egbert – Back To New (3LAU REMIX)

Posted by on March 5, 2012

As you guys know, we’ve been backing this kid since Kap Slap first introduced us to him. 3LAU has had a ridiculous rise to fame in the past couple of months and is absolutely killing it in the college/edm scene. With his ever Beatport release coming out mid April (a remix of James Egbert’s “Back To New”) we only felt it appropriate to post the preview. There’s no doubt about it…3LAU is on his way. Also, make sure you take a second to check out his live set at Congress Theater here, trust us. What do you guys think…is 3LAU the next big thing?
