Helicopter Showdown is the underdog of the Dubstep scene. They have always been producing heavy, monstrous tracks that have been played by many big-time artist, but never got the recognition for their work. I have to say though their latest preview maybe a track that might be one of their best depending on how they finish it off. Those reggae plucking guitars with the melody build-up so well into the drop.
Mach and I haven’t been able to stop listening to this next preview by Enigma Dubz. This preview of his latest Deep-Dubstep track that is releasing soon has been driving us crazy. Seeing some heavier stuff coming from him, and we can’t wait to get our hands on this EP.
TomBudin coming through and absolutely smashing this remix of Pendulum’s Tarantula. Wasn’t expecting this at all, but yet again the reggae vibes mixed with the heavy dubstep come through to save the day. I have a feeling we are going to be seeing more of this artist around here.
Haven’t seen Oscillator Z drop any of his usual heavy stuff lately, but this Trance-Dubstep original caught my attention yesterday. After attempting to create a trance track he was able to produce a nice melodic, yet heavy, Drumstep tune that I thought turned out pretty sick. The uplifting trance sections give a euphoric feeling through the track before he brings in some heavy drums to lead you through a fast paced Drumstep drop.

Electro-House, Preview | Nicky Romero & Zedd – Human [Preview]
Posted by Spice on July 23, 2012
I’ll get the bad out of the way first: the drop in this clip is pretty underwhelming. I had insanely high hopes when I saw that these two were collaborating and let’s just say that my expectations were not fully met. But now the good: the build prior to the drop is amazing, and this preview is short, so who knows what else “Human” might have in store? The vocals are excellent and it’s clear that Nicky Romero and Zedd are bringing the top quality production skills that we’ve all grown accustomed to seeing in their work over the past year, so I look forward to hearing this in full when it drops (update: as part of Zedd’s hotly-anticipated Spectrum EP) on July 31. Fingers crossed that they’re purposely denying us the best that this collabo has to offer…
Hip-Hop, Rap | Chiddy Bang – Paper and Plastic
Posted by ATexas on July 18, 2012

Chiddy Bang is here once more, a fellow Northfield Mount Hermon psuedo-alumni, him, Converse and Xaphoon create a dope mix of synths and spits. The drums behind the rhymes chill like another member of the band. It’s all around a good song to cruise to late at night. Maybe a preview of a harder Chiddy Bang…who the ef knows.
Electro-House | D!RTY AUD!O x Danilo – Lifestyle & Sander van Doorn – Chasin’ (D!RTY AUD!O Remix)
Posted by Sev on July 12, 2012
D!RTY AUD!O is back at it again teaming up with Dutch producer Danilo to create this Electro-house banger. Both of these up coming artist have stepped out of their usual genres to work on this unique collaboration that has a nice bouncy vibe to it. Influences from both sides can be seen as the intro starts of nice and slow with some House-style buildups and progressions. As the track slowly builds up to the drop we see some filtering and then we get that catchy bouncy Electro drop.
I couldn’t help but post this outstanding remix by D!RTY AUD!O as well for the Sander Van Doorn remix competition. With so many of these competitions currently ongoing it is nice to support these growing artist who are trying to become recognized by the big names. After listening to this remix a few times it was hard to find any flaws within the track, which is why it secured my vote right away. Take a listen to the track and if you feel the same be sure to give him a vote as well. The preview is posted below with the Beatport voting link HERE.

Happy Birthday America. Today is a great day indeed, the day we celebrate kicking ass and taking names. It is an honor to be able to write due to the freedoms that are being celebrated today.
First track this week is a preview of one of the many “Spectrum” remixes that have been surfacing over the past week due to the competition Zedd is holding. This track happens to be Sev’s and my own favorite for the Dubstep remixes of the track. Sam Wire came in smooth, using the samples of the original very well, taking us into a dirty drop. Got my fingers crossed for him, I hope he can come out on top with this awesome remix.
Tut Tut Child came through with my favorite Drumstep track of the week. The isn’t overdone which tends to happen a lot in the styling of Drumstep. Tut Tut Child keep it simple but composed creatively, delivering a raw track.
Jiclo isn’t a name I don’t think anyone is very familiar with, but this track is dirty. Getting crunk on some nasty drops.
Did someone say Gundam remix? Count me in. This remix swept me off my feet, having blasted me with giant Gundam bass cannons. Epic.
Savant has been showing some teeth in the past few months. He is back again with another freebie. This one happens to be an older work of his that he found, but also stated that maybe he will tweak and refinish it.
Dubstep | KOAN Sound-Funk Blaster (Culprate remix) & Loadstar-Passenger (Culprate Remix)[Prev]
Posted by Sev on June 28, 2012
Culprate is destroying the scene right now with his unique style of glich and dubstep blended together. First we have a preview of one of his upcoming releases that went up on UKF yesterday. Absolutely smashing remix to Loadstar’s DnB tune Passenger that was also uploaded to the UKFDrum&Bass channel a few weeks ago. I think the original DnB tune maybe a little heavier, but I’m torn between which one I like more. Either way Culprate is tearing his remixes apart, which leads us to his next massive freebie that was given away today. His remix to KOAN Sound’s Funk Blaster, which has been a highlight to many artist sets. You should know what to expect by now; it’s that glich-step style from Cuplrate with some funk provided by KOAN. Also as a heads, be on the lookout for Culprate’s remix of Skrillex’s Make It Bun Dem which has been recorded at a few live shows and should be surfacing soon.
