Tears are flowing down my cheeks as I write this post solely because I had to sell my EDC ticket due to some alcohol charges we won’t indulge upon. So while the best DJ’s in the world will be pouring their hearts out through their live sets five minutes from my apartment at my beloved university, Ill be sitting through 16 hours of positive living and ethic classes! Scope the video, download the song that drops halfway through, and be safe…raves=sketch. I’m going to get more tissues, enjoy.

Here at FNT we are always trying to keep you on the cutting edge and expand your musical horizons. With that goal in mind, I have focused this techno post on trance. This more melodic, and synth-heavy form of music lends itself great to chilling or studying ( or if your like me then it could be the soundtrack to your party). Most of these tracks are lyric-less but that doesn’t stop me and it shouldn’t stop you!

This month Beatport teamed up with Kaskade to host a remix competition for the hit song “Dynasty”. I originally scripted this post at the beginning of the competition, but knew it’d be a close race at the end and wanted FNT to be the ones who pushed Manny to number one. At first the remix wasn’t doing too hot (still in the top five but about 100 votes off the leader) but he’s pulled up to second place and currently sits just 16 votes behind. I’ve posted a few of the remixes from the competition below, however, you’re only allowed to vote for the DJ Dark Intensity Remix. He’s been very enthusiastic about our site and has provided us with several exclusive tracks. I know we normally post Techno Heat but I thought I would do a post for the electro/trance fans. This genre usually focuses more one smooth beats which suggest an “altered” state of mind. These tracks are longer and have less lyrics than most posted on FNT, but they are worth a listen. Treat yourself and expand your musical horizons.
