Progressive House | Steve James’ Remix Of The Chainsmokers Will “Let You Go” Right Into Festival Season
Posted by Juicebox on May 18, 2015
The summer season is here, and it has yet another anthem candidate on its hands. This time it comes from Pittsburgh, from a young man by the name of Steve James. You may have heard of him; his ZHU “Faded” remix has amassed over a million plays, his Ellie Goulding “Beating Heart” remix has been played on Tiësto’s Club Life, and his free downloads have spread like wild fire. His new gem is a remix for The Chainsmokers’, “Let You Go.”
The original was by no means a slouch, but this young producer has imparted some of his youth upon the track, making for a notably livelier vibe. Really we wouldn’t doubt if this thing starts making the rounds on festival stages and summer mixes around the world. It doesn’t hurt that it’s a freebie. Grab it below, and as always support it with some heart action on Hype Machine!

Devin Miles from Pittsburgh releases visuals for his track “GTA (What They Want).” Miles spits a cool rap over a minimalist beat with some hard drums and low bass. This is some straight raw new school hip hop! Bounce to it, must listen!
Hip-Hop, Rap | Devin Miles – Some Shxt II
Posted by admin on August 18, 2013
After receiving the nod from Travi$ Scott on his last song, Devin Miles has returned with part two of his “Some Shxt” series. He showcases his silky smooth delivery while spitting some bars off the top of his head. The song surely isn’t supposed to have a crazy concept or powerful message, but what it does do is give a taste of what young Mr. Miles is capable of.
His soulful sound sets him apart and will keep him relevant long after others have teetered off. Enjoy “Some Shxt II” and watch closely as I’m sure there is plenty more to come from this Pittsburgh emcee.
Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Wiz Khalifa – Cabin Fever 2 (Mixtape)

Damn, this mixtape goes HAM. Pittsburgh’s own Wiz Khalifa killed “Cabin Fever 2”. Just like the original, the beats are out of control, with producers like Sledgren, ID Labs (Wiz’s favorite), The Invasion and Crazy Mike throwing down bass-filled bangers. The features are what you would expect, Juicy J on 5 tracks, Problem on 3 tracks, Chevy Woods, French Montana and more. If you’re looking to bump some songs in your car, look no further than “Ridin Round”, “Smokin Drink”, “MIA” or “Tweak is Heavy”; if you want some light ish to chill too, check out “Deep Sleep” and “Pacc Talk”, and if you need to bust a move throw on “Bout Me”. Cop the whole mixtape below and check out Wiz Khalifa’s Facebook page for updates.

Hip-Hop | Wiz Khalifa – Goin’ Places ft. Mac Miller
Posted by Grubeats on September 2, 2012
Pittsburgh’s resident DJ, Fast Eddie, got an exclusive collab from the two PA kids for a feature on his most recent installment of his mixtape series Live From The 412. Although Wiz and Mac share a friendship, they have never fed off each other for features, and for the most part keep a distance in the booth to remain individual artists.’ That is certainly not to say we haven’t heard joint tracks from the two in the past, because we have, but they’re typically few and far. This one doesn’t sound like it’s hot off the decks, but embrace it and enjoy the byproduct of the Taylor Allderdice alumni.
DJ-Set, Events, Progressive House | Avicii Le7els Tour Support + Michael Brun Summer Mix
Posted by Middy on May 19, 2012
Avicii has finally released a few songs lately with his remix of Madonna’s “Girl Gone Wild” and finally “Silhouettes” getting a release, though it was regionally locked for quite a while. Links below if you still don’t have it. He is also releasing his remix of Lenny Kravitz “Superlove” on May 27th (preview below) so be ready for that one. His Le7els tour has not gotten off to a good start with the first 3 weeks of shows being canceled because the setup was not ready. This means that the south of the US ie Texas, Atlanta and other shows in late may early june are no longer happening, so check your ticket provider for refund details if necessary.
Support for each of the tour dates have been announced with artists like Gareth Emery, Arty, Cazzette, Pleasurekraft, Chuckie and more. Many of these guys headline shows on their own and to have them come as support for Avicii will make for each show to be that much more outstanding and have people rocking from the first note to the very last. Tour dates w/ support after the jump.
Also included is Michael Brun’s May mixtape with an exclusive first play of a remix of his that sounds outstanding, as well as exclusive bootlegs and edits with a fantastic track selection from the just turned 20 year old Haitian. It is his birthday today so Happy Birthday Michael Brun from all of us here at FNT. Tracklist after the jump.

Hip-Hop | Devin Miles – 412/215 ft. Tayyib Ali
Posted by Grubeats on February 22, 2012
Pittsburgh native, Devin Miles, was fortunate to have a chance to grab a verse from Tayyib Ali who was breezing through the studio. Representing their respective area codes, Devil Miles delivers a strong first verse before the prince of Philly comes in with an impressive verse of his own. Lot of talent coming out of PA these days. Just to clarify, several blogs have labeled this track as Tayyib’s, but in fact it is Devin’s with a feature from Tay and will not be featured on any of Ali’s upcoming projects.
