Indie | photocomfort Delivers A Stellar Debut Original “No Love”
Posted by Tay on July 17, 2015
As dance music slowly crosses over into the mainstream, we’ve started to see talented producers take their music in different creative directions outside of the box, and the results have been splendid. Genres that people previously thought could never fit together meshed and turned into more unique, niche sub-genres of dance music, and this sonic experimentation has only led to the emergence of new styles of music. Indie rock artists used to stay away from electronic music, but a few brave souls found a way to combine indie rock with electronic textures to great success, and now, indie-electronica is a steadily rising genre in dance music with plenty of emerging bands like Photocomfort. Hailing from Brighton, MA, the trio of musicians is storming onto the scene with their debut single, “Not Love,” a stellar indie-electronica masterpiece. The soaring croons of the lead vocalist are the perfect complement to the electro-tinged percussion accents and heavy-handed bass strikes. You can stream “Not Love” above.

There’s just something special about summer. The sun is shining brighter, the weather is getting warmer, everyone just seems happier and friendlier, and there are pool parties galore. There’s nothing in the world that can beat a pool party with some great friends, great drinks, and great music – and we’re here to provide you with the perfect soundtrack to your summer. Much like ice cold Coronas with lime, The Rooftop Boys were made for summer. The NYC-based duo of Bender and Hyberbits are experts at sun-soaked melodies and laidback vibes, and they certainly shine through in the duo’s latest remix of The Griswold’s “If You Wanna Stay.” The indie pop croons of the lead vocalist perfectly complement the summer-ready melodies and groovy bass lines of The Rooftop Boys, and if you take one listen, you’ll know that this track was made for the summer.
Electronic | Discover Bliss with Chet Porter’s Remix of “Where Are Ü Now”

Nowadays, “Where Are U Now” remixes are like jelly bean flavors – there are so many of them, there are a couple of bad ones, but nearly everyone has their own opinion of their favorite one. The latest remix of Jack U’s hit with the Biebs comes from Chet Porter, a Toronto native who has delivered stunning future flips of Ryan Hemwsworth, Zedd, and Porter Robinson. Porter’s remix is unique because he didn’t take on the original track, rather he chose to re-work Ember Island’s ethereal cover – to great success. Ember Island’s heavenly croons provide the perfect partner for Porter’s beautiful synth melodies and jaw-dropping production.

Deep House | Have a Dose of Indian Summer Vibes with EDX’s Remix of Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love”
Posted by GMONEY on June 2, 2015
Earlier this year, EDX premiered his “Indian Summer” remix of Sam Feldt’s modern day, tropical re-imagination of Robin S’s 80s classic, “Show Me Love.” Now that Memorial Day is in the rearview mirror and summer is nearly upon us, the Swiss house maestro has released his remix of “Show Me Love,” a surefire summer staple. On this remix, the veteran producer keeps the sun-soaked vibes of Feldt’s re-imagination and infuses the track with a groovy house backbone, making it perfect for a late night at the club or a hot day by the pool.
