Oliver Heldens has been recognized not only for his deep house work under his self-named moniker, but also as his bass alias, HI-LO. His latest track, “Ooh La La” adds techno to his resume with underground bass vibes. A fast percussion beat and driving risers set the stage for HI-LO’s latest track that evolves into a heavy walking bass line and pounding synth melody. Doppler hi-hats ring as the vocal line repeats an “Ooh La La” vocal sample. Although wandering from his expected sound, “”Ooh La La” adds a new vibe to HI-LO’s quickly expanding library.

Future House | Oliver Heldens & Tiesto Keep the Dutch Proud with “Wombass”

Oliver Heldens continues to be the ringleader of bringing future house to the mainstream with his latest collaboration, “Wombass,” with dance music veteran, Tiesto. The track has been a regular in the sets of both DJs for some months now, and has finally made its release with a bonus music video to go along. The pumping bass line and groovy synths make the track an instant dance floor anthem. Following the man deemed the “Wombass,” the music video takes a strange turn once we see him dancing and gyrating around his ridiculous pink stretch limo. The video continues its odd nature as Heldens and Tiesto receive a text and just walk away from whatever is occupying them at the moment to presumably meet up with Wombass. Check it out for yourself, and head over to Beatport to buy the tune.

After launching his label, Heldeep Records, with “Renegade Mastah,” Oliver Heldens, aka HI-LO, returns with the third effort through his alias. It’s a new track titled “Wappy Flirt,” and it shows him continuing his exploration in the tech-house realm that’s just outside of his Oliver Heldens releases. The track takes on more subtleties than his usual high-energy stompers, like “Crank It Up,” and it draws upon the thick groove to drive the track through its clubby atmospheres. Enjoy the track above and download it for free below.
