A collab between two genre melding producers, New York resident Pierce Fulton and Israeli producer Maor Levi create their new single “Wanna Be” out April 12th on Cr2 Records. The track leans on a euphoric, trancey synth line with pitched female vocals and atmospheric breaks that give the original mix all the makings of the next hit for these two. The club mix takes an edgier approach with a gruff low end added, making it more useful for certain live stages. Coming April 12th, this one is not to be missed.

One of my favorite up and coming hybrid artists, Jared Evan, shares the first cut off his collaborated project with producer Statik Selektah. At only 23, the NY native has had an adventurous career, initially signing with Interscope, having his music featured in TV spots, to releasing several solo projects and now working on a collaborative effort with one of the game’s most respected producers. With the title of the upcoming project, Boom Bap & Blues, Statik cooks up a beat driven by a heavy bass line, snare kicks and smooth keys as Jared soulfully sings his first verse before bursting into a secondary rap verse. Asking the seamlessly daunting question, “Are we almost there yet?”

A few months ago we first introduced you to Maxxx Flair, a deft new lyricist from New York whose stock has risen dramatically behind a recent pair of earnest, eloquent releases. Tonight he’s back with the first single from his new EP, Wake Up, featuring Sunny Jones of the production duo 2 Thumbs Up, who provided the captivating instrumental. Maxxx’s latest work has been decidedly more candid and complex, and thus we can only expect to continue hearing impactful, creative music from this exciting new emcee. Events | ASOT 600 To Take over Madison Square Garden

The information has slowly been coming out about the expedition’s arrival to New York, but now we finally have some concrete info about the show and it could not be better. ASOT 600 makes it arrival in New York at Madison Square Garden, transforming it into palace of trance, much like when SHM turned it into a nightclub a year ago. We have waited 3 years since the last time ASOT was in NYC and with Madison Square Garden the destination, it was definitely worth the wait. To live in D.C. is to get some of the very best electronic music acts brought to your front door.
Yes, I realize that some of you may be raising your eyebrows right now (looking at you, New York), but trust me. We’re quietly killing it down here, and it’s all thanks to a little outfit called Panorama Productions, the brains and brawn behind promotion company Club Glow, which has been connecting the nation’s capital with the genre’s biggest names since 1999. This Saturday, things are going to get even more serious: Club Glow will preside over the launch of D.C.’s first EDM venue, Echostage, a roughly 4000-capacity space with an equally massive sound system that will host huge billings every week. For district area dance fans, this is literally monumental. Club Glow has been operating primarily out of Josephine and Fur Nightclub for the past few years, and the recent explosion of dance music has made the need for a bigger and better venue that much more urgent.
The Echostage launch party kicks off this Saturday with Sander Van Doorn and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and the calendar shows no signs of slowing down; Dada Life, Armin van Buuren, Avicii, Dirty South, and Tiesto are already lined up, and we’re still in the very early days.
