Mashups | 3LAU – Yacht Week In America | MASHUP
Posted by Juicebox on July 17, 2011
3LAU an upcoming mashup/house producer/DJ from New York got a jump start on his career by being featured on Kap Slap’s mixtape, Audio Appropriation. The production and precision featured in his mashups are textbook quality. Mark my words, this guy will be a big name in at most a year from now. When 3LAU sent us a message asking us to post his latest mashup, we expected straight fire. 3LAU did not dissapoint.
“Yacht Week In America” features the following songs: Top Of The World – Joe Garston, Miami To Atlanta – Pryda, Do It In the AM – Frankmusik (Lucky Date Remix), Leave The World Behind – SHM & LBL, TGIF – Katy Perry, Wet – Snoop Dog, Move For Me – Kaskade, Under The Sheets – Ellie Goulding, and Where Dem Girls At – David Guetta.

Dubstep | Turmoil (Skrillex Remix) | Dubstep

Alright so above is the original track that Skrillex (who was still going by Sonny Moore at the time) put out years ago, I know it isn’t our usual cup of tea but I figured it’d be cool to post the original track to compare to his remix below. If you’ve been to any of his shows you may have heard him play this, or you may have heard a lesser quality version floating around on the internet. Whether or not this is the final version is still up in the air, judging by the fade-in opening it may still be unfinished. He’s preforming today at Camp Bisco in up-state New York, and tomorrow at Atlantic City, NJ… Who’s going?

Hip-Hop | T.I. ft. B.o.B, Tupac, Drake ft. The Weeknd & more | Hip-Hop

The self proclaimed King of the South said he’d be releasing some new material soon however it’s not clear if this is it. Regardless this track is dope, but I thought he was still in jail for that drug charge?

Here is some unreleased Pac’ which is super dirty. Pac disses everyone from Dre, to Biggie & Puff, to Nas… just about anyone who rapped in New York in the late 90’s.
F*ck Doc Dre, he ain’t made a beat in 6 years…

I’ve been scouring the internet for a mashup like this. Hopefully we’ll get a Drake track featuring The Weeknd in the near future.

Artists | Timeflies

Timeflies is a music duo out of Boston by way of New York and New Jersey. The duo consists of Producer/DJ, Rob Resnick and vocalist Cal who use elements of pop, hip-hop, electro, dubstep, and rock to make their songs. With their wide range of releases, it’s impossible to classify Timeflies into a single genre, something Rob and Cal set out to accomplish from the beginning. Their goal has always been to make music that everyone can connect with. The duo plans to play shows at colleges across the country in the upcoming year and always have fresh new tracks in the works.
Albums, Dubstep | KillaGraham’s “Cudi Zone” Remix
Posted by GMONEY on February 27, 2011
When I first came across this track, I immediately concluded that it deserved its own post. KillaGraham’s remix of “Cudi Zone,” a classic feel good Cudder track, brilliantly incorporates dub influences, while simultaneously preserving its unique, original sound.
On a beautiful day like this, when the sun is (for once) shining in New York, I couldn’t ask for a better song to jam out to.

Girl Fire, Hip-Hop, RnB | A Post For My Fellow Females | RnB

Sometimes SweetE isn’t so feisty…today is one of those days (although it doesn’t happen often). Yes, I love my filthy dubstep and electronic. But on days like this, when inches upon inches of slush have covered my city’s glorious sidewalks, I’d rather stay inside and listen to some RnB. Music that’s crafted by male artists who know what kind of lyrics females gush over.
Sure, these tracks are pretty mainstream. And yes, they will most likely end up on the radio. But us ladies like that sappy stuff every once in a while. Oh, and while your at it…check out the Sean Kingston track featuring B.O.B, “Hope is a River,” that BIGLIFE posted yesterday.

This Maino song dropped about a month ago. I actually heard this track on a New York radio station, while headed to JFK for my trip out West. How ironic. New York girls? This one’s for you.
