I would say that most of the mashups which make their way into our emails these days are coming from the US college scene. Therefore it is refreshing to see some dope mashups from Logo, who hails from Melbourne, Australia. As expected, Logo focuses on mixing and matching house tracks to create some truly unique mashes which feature Guetta, SHM, Avicii, Bart B More, Kaskade, and more. Folks I gotta tell you, if there’s one thing that clogs that FNT gmail account more than anything, its gotta be loads and loads of second rate mashups. Well tediously browsing through each and every one is all worth when I find hidden gems like this latest cut from DJ i6 straight off of his upcoming mixtape Structure and Flow which drops September 6th.

Because you’ll be discrediting the super producer known as Brenton Duvall who doesn’t involve himself with 1 v 1 mashups. If you’re not familiar with Brenton, welcome to FNT and listen to the track below to see what I’m saying. This one is DOPE! Here’s what Brenton had to say for himself:
I don’t think I was ever gonna drop this track…Kinda unfinished…Only been played live a few times. Phil Collins sample. Look at that young guy. Some Biggie for good measure, because remixes aren’t remixes until Biggie’s on them. Then it’s a real remix.

That Spencer & Hill preview is such a tease for what will be an amazing song releasing August 2. Stars Above continues to create tracks that have that smooth summer vibe to them. The synth and bass just keep you going throughout the song with a smooth balance of builds and drops.

He also does fire podcasts that include some great progressive house, mashups and heavier house and electro tunes. Perfect for raging to forget about that shitty internship you have. He has a bunch of songs he will be releasing soon, he is just waiting to finish a few things and a new EP will be released soon, followed by another in not too distant future. I couldn’t find any cool mashup pictures, but then I came across this and couldn’t resist haha. The two mashups are a real treat. The first one sounds amazing, the vocals mixed up almost perfectly. The second track is one of the best dubstep mashups, I would consider it second to 5 & A Dime’s “Skrillmau5.” Second because lets face it, 5 & A Dime out did himself on that mashup.
