Not a huge fan of the video, but proud of Mac Miller for making it as far as he has.

Do you want to call yourself a true Wiz Khalifa fan? Sure, you’re familiar with his newest material, but I bet a large majority of you haven’t dug into some of his earlier works. Don’t worry, there’s no shame in that when there are plenty of other buzzing topics like the most recent Mac Miller video. Here’s an opportunity to pause for a second, hit rewind, and listen to Wiz Khalifa in his most true or genuine form, that is, when he wasn’t burdened by external pressures and influences. The cuts below are off of his 2006 project “Show and Prove”.

Hip-Hop | Mac Miller – The Miller Family Reunion
Posted by GMONEY on August 4, 2011
In celebration for getting 700,000 followers on Twitter, the homie Mac Miller dropped this DOPE track produced by Big Jerm with a sweet summer theme to it. I’m loving the Arnold Palmer reference in that first verse.

Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | M. Will The Shogun- Northern Lights Mixtape

M. Will The Shogun’s new album. No, he’s not a rapping, but producing and doing a damn good job at it. M. Will the Shogun is, according to rumors, producing Mac Miller’s new album. Can’t wait. Anyways its a lot of trip-hop,a side of etherealness and dope verbal slams. Not a good source for body bangers, but a lot of chill music that’s good to end the night on. It is the musical equal to the cool down of a workout even though it is a hot as hell(and possibly Texas) mixtape. GDPN brings me back to Zion I’s glory days, om nom nom delicious. “Megustas” is just amazingly produced, I honestly cannot get enough of it and its rawness of the lyrics and the vocals. That might be a personal thing. And of course, Whatever, which has been dropped for a couple days is dope as Mac always is. Northern Lights features a mixture of artists including Termanology and NERO.

Hip-Hop | Phil Adé-A Different World
Posted by ATexas on July 30, 2011
For my first official post I thought I’d throw down some Phil Adé. “Different World”, the track, brings me back to early Cudi (before he made our ears bleed with Mr. Rager). It’s loaded with a muted drum smash and a filter keeping the beat low-key. Not the best production choices, but has an absolute dope verbal assault for those of you who listen to rap for the verses. On the other hand, “Incense” is the epitome of chill music with Mac Miller laying down the hook in his traditional fashion. For all you who have entered the millennium and have an Apple computer, I suggest to play this song, press Command + T and zone out hardcore. Can you say visualizer? “Monte Carlo,” well, on the FNT chat board there has been a lot of hate ergo I thought I’d just post one more hip hop song. Monte Carlo is a dope song, sweet hook, catchy but not annoying.
Slash kind of wanted to win those damn festival tickets, but I assume since its official now that I’m posting I guess I’m out of contest eligibility. Rough life of a college girl.
