Electro, Mainstream Remix | Cold Blank | MAINSTREAM REMIXES
Posted by GMONEY on March 24, 2011
Los Angeles’s own Cold Blank just released two free WMC bootlegs that are instant party bangers.
Their remix of Waka Flocka Flame’s “No Hands” is pure fire. This is the sort of dance music needed to kick off the official start of Miami Music Week. While you’re at it, download their remix of Chris Brown’s “Yea,” which DJ Alex Dreamz helped create.

BONUS:
Oh, and just as a nice, supplementary bonus to your Thursday night–here is an ill, grinding Neon Stereo remix. The track is pure electro heaven. Warning: it incorporates dub influences and a tiny bit of heavy metal (nothing frightening).

Electro, House, Mainstream Remix | Benny Benassi ft T-Pain – Electroman (Remixes) | ELECTRO/HOUSE
Posted by Juicebox on January 31, 2011
Benny Benassi just played in Los Angeles last night and supposedly completely killed it. Unfortunately (fortunately) I chose to go see Rusko at The Key Club where he absolutely murdered his set. Once I find some new dubstep I’ll include some pictures from onstage. Who’s joining GMoney and I at ULTRA this year?

Dubstep | DUBSTEP | Rusko – Everyday (Radio Rip)
Posted by Juicebox on January 20, 2011
It’s New Years Eve, I just watched Nero, Afrojack, and Dada Life, and then theres Rusko announcing he’s dropping his latest single live for the first time ever 50 feet in front of me. As Rusko becomes a more notorious name (due to the building hype of dubstep in the U.S. and his collaborations with Britney Spears on her latest album) this track could change everything. I could honestly see this song being played on the radio in Los Angeles in the next few months after Britney’s album gives 70% of America their first taste of dubstep. Here’s why…
1. It’s an original mix
2. It’s not that UK grimey sounding style of dubstep most of you can’t stand…it’s clean
3. Female vocals
4. Rusko will be one of the hottest topics of conversation in the American music industry after Britney’s groundbreaking album is released. People will want more.
Let’s see if Rusko’s “Everyday” can be the gateway drug for America and dubstep.

Electro, House | Deadmau5 turns 21…again?!
Posted by GMONEY on January 12, 2011
I’ve returned to the East after an exceptional trip out west. My visit to the “right coast,” as BIGLIFE calls it, floored me. Sure, it was great to enjoy the California weather (no tights were needed) but the revolution occurring musically in Los Angeles is what intrigued me the most. From lessons in DJ’ing dubstep to “shuffling,” my girlfriends and I were exposed to a music culture we had previously viewed from a distance.
We enjoyed our first night in West Hollywood at Premiere, a two-story Supper Club located on Las Palmas Avenue. Conveniently situated near The Roosevelt Hotel, Premier’s Thursday party was a perfect fit for us.
Premiere’s cocktail waitresses, complete with LED wands, transformed customers’ bottles into floating orbs of light. In contrast with these flashing lights were the wrought-iron balconies of Premiere’s second floor, and its giant, pine chandelier.
It wasn’t the environment, though, that impressed us. Around 1am, resident DJ Rick Rude began dropping an onslaught of dubstep, ear-gasm’s. Moments later, a cake was lit and delivered to Deadmau5, who celebrated his thirtieth (or twenty-first) birthday at the club. After Dubstrike was shut down, Skrillex added to the madness as he, too, joined the party.
Rick Rude recently signed with S.K.A.M Artists, and has worked nightly in Los Angeles for the past two years. His latest CD, Casablanca, is an interesting compilation of music and can be downloaded here.
Other songs played while on the “right coast:”
Afrojack – Polkadots (Oliver Twizt Remix)
Jinder – Youth Blood (12th Planet & Flinch Remix)
Oh, and dear Lakers fans…we attended your January 8th game against the Knicks. You suck!
Hip-Hop | Hip-Hop | Up and Coming – “Famous”
Posted by Juicebox on January 6, 2011
Famous, born in Venice, California moved around a lot as a kid, living in different Los Angeles neighborhoods such as Mid-City and Inglewood: Making him a true son of the city. Famous wrote his first songs at 5 years of age, but music took a back seat while he pursued what was thought to be his dream in basketball. After leaving the Varsity team during his Junior year of high school, Famous began to write in his leisure to pass the time. Through local cypher’s and working with the son of James Ingram, Famous recorded his first few tracks. For the rest of the bio, hit the “MORE” button. FNT Nation, thoughts on Famous? Electro | ELECTRO | TOGETHER AS ONE NYE MEGA POST
Posted by Juicebox on December 30, 2010
If you’re not going to the Fresh New Tracks party in NYC for NYE (get your tickets HERE) the only other place to be is in Los Angeles at Together As One. As I sit in the car listening to two girls from the University of Arizona try and carry a conversation while listening to Justin Bieber on repeat, I’ve had to put in my headphones and blast Dada Life so loud I think my ears may be bleeding. I know many of you are just as excited as I am for Together As One on NYE so I compiled my favorite tracks from my favorite artists headlining…enjoy.
