Hip-Hop | Cam Meekins – Inhale
Posted by LoffyG on March 15, 2013
Hailing from Boston, young Cam Meekins’ just let loose this melodic self-produced track in light of his 20th birthday. The thing that intrigues me about Cam is that he sets himself apart from other upcoming artists in the same “league”. From producing his own beats down to his ever-changing lyrical style, he’s constantly working to make his music original. If you’ve been listening to him as long as I have you know that each project he’s dropped sounds completely different from the last. He does have an upcoming album Lamp City in the works which is completely produced by Cam himself, so be on the lookout! If you’re in the Boston area he is set to perform at Brighton Music Hall on April 18th so check that out and grab tickets using the link below.

Chill, Hip-Hop, Rap, Videos | Mi Zona – Jetpack Jones
Posted by J_Salzer on February 10, 2013
An artist that I have been acquainted with for about a year and a half now, Jetpack Jones, drops off his newest video. When I first heard his music, I was immediately entranced by his positive vibe and imaginative style of rapping. He spreads a message of positivity and peacefulness that the rap game is seriously lacking. His latest track, Mi Zona, is no different. The electro fused beat, produced by Crayon Stars, provides the perfect platform for Jetpack to show off his flow. Check out the video above and be on the lookout for Afterburners 3: The Brink.

Events | Ultra Music Festival Phase 2 Lineup Announced
Posted by Middy on January 28, 2013
In case you missed it over the weekend, after announcing the first phase, Ultra announced the phase 2 lineup of the talent laden festival, adding 100s of names to its ridiculous bill. So imagine just about every Dj ever minus Daft Punk and add Snoop Dogg (Lion?). That is what Ultra is looking like this year with 100s of artists lined up over 7 stages over 2 weekends with Winter Music Conference packed in the middle. There is something for everybody here at Ultra. I could start listing them off, but it is pointless because everybody is there, so just check it out below to see the daily schedule for each stage and start the UMF countdown with 46 days left until Friday weekend one. Phase 3 will come shortly with Toolroom Knights and John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, so house fans be on the lookout for that.
