I was put on to Matoma by a good friend of mine with his remix Notorious B.I.G. and Ja Rule’s “Old Thing Back,” and just 2 days ago the Norwegian producer released a super cool remix of John Mayer’s rendition of “Free Fallin” for your Saturday pleasure! I’m not sure where these Norwegians get their Summer vibes as Norway isn’t known for its tropical vibes, but hell, if it’s reindeers and vikings that leads to this sort of inspiration, keep it coming! This is a must listen and a must download!

Cover, RnB, Videos | John Mayer – Slow Dancing in a Burning Room (SoMo Rendition)
Posted by J_Salzer on June 3, 2013
Another Monday morning, another chance for smooth singing, Joseph SoMo to boggle my mind with his latest cover. This week, he takes on a John Mayer tune. No easy feat, even for a singer of SoMo’s caliber. The result though, is astounding. Every track SoMo takes on, he meets it with emotion tenfold of the original. He finds ways to relate to the lyrics he’s singing, and tell his own story, even though he didn’t write it. But if you want something phenomenal that he DID write, check out his latest original here. Remember the name Joseph SoMo ladies and gentleman, and don’t forget it.

Can January 22nd come any sooner? Keep Your Friends Close, Dylan Owen’s newest EP, will be available for free then, and I’m all in with this kid. I’ve been following Dylan since he released “The Book Report”. His flow is impeccable with so much emotion and passion, it makes me cherish each new release. Any way, here we have a sample from a John Mayer track, Who Says. Mr. Owen throws some straight fire over this beat. Set your calendars to check back for the tape, but in the meantime check out Dylan’s Facebook and Twitter.

Also Dylan did a song, “Dreams”, with Reef of Fortune Fam and they sampled Adele’s piano riff from “Someone Like You”. August Coupe on the production.
