Hip-Hop | J. Cole ft. Jay-Z – Mr. Nice Watch
Posted by GMONEY on September 14, 2011
With a little less than 2 weeks left till Cole World: The Sideline Story, Cole dropped this track which will end up on the album. Personally, I think he should stay away from rapping about the glitz and glam. Cole’s forte isn’t rapping about chains and watches. His success up to this point came from his ability to appeal to everyday people like you and me. Regardless of some lackluster releases from our boy, I’m sure the album will have plenty of those deep, real tracks that we’re so used to hearing from J. Cole.

Judging by the video above, it seems like we’re gonna be hearing a lot from Cole in the near future. Not only is he releasing an album September 29th, but he plans on releasing a mixtape before that too. Don’t hang your hat on that though, after all his album was supposed to be out this past spring. Speaking of Roc Nation, Kanye and Jay-Z released the album art as well as a definite tracklist for their up coming collaboration album, Watch the Throne, check it out here. Below is a quick preview for Wale’s premier single off his upcoming album, featuring J. Cole.
Los is a lyricist that we’ve severely over look. If you have yet to check him out, make sure you do so.

This song is strictly for die- hard Drizzy fans. 8 years ago when every rapper made references to Tony Montana and Scarface, this song may have been popular. I’m not sure why Drake would hop on a song like this, but for those of you interested his verse starts at 1:45.

Hip-Hop | XV, J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, and Timeflies | Hip-Hop

I have said it a few times in posts now, but XV is one of my favorite up and comings. He dropped this track today in celebration of hitting 30,000+ followers on twitter. Personally I would not celebrate such a thing feat, but this track is so good it doesn’t matter.

XV might be my favorite, but no doubt J. Cole is everyone else’s. I wont deny his skills despite my confusion for his insane popularity. Per usual he does a great job on this track.

Wiz is no boss, but I had no idea he could kill a track going as hard as he does on this. I am use to his chiller tracks, more like this I could get use to.

Some of you remember when Timeflies posted a video of this track on youtube. They dropped a more legitimate version than the rip thats been floating around. I don’t know if it’s just because I grew up in the Disney movie cult generation or what, but I really like this track.

Hip-Hop | Eminem & Royce Da 5’9, J. Cole, and More | Hip-Hop

This is a much deserving, long post…This track is hot. Previously posted, but the full video is going to be awesome once it drops.

Hip-Hop post I feel I always start saying the same thing, ” i am goint to be honest.” Well haha I’m going to be honest, never got the obsession with J. Cole, but that doesnt seem to matter considering this track. He does a pretty sick job on this, yes I do have all of his stuff so don’t go hating on on my commentary.

Again, another artist I’ve never really felt the vibes on until now, haha. Kam kills it on this, wish he kept this “third verse” he mentions on the track.

The idea of this track is retarded, I mean “Copy and Paste” really? Besides this chorus, the verses are actually good on this track. Worth the listen.

Waka needs to stop saying things on a track that rhyme with his own name. Other than that this track is tight.

One of my favorite things to do with a post is to finish with a track that just kills it. Cudi in my opinion has needed to step it up a bit more, this track has definitely satisfied that need.

If theres anyone thats quick to shoot down T-Pain’s rapping ability its me, but I gotta say, he did his thing on this song.

As much of a J. Cole fan as I am, I wasn’t really feeling this. It didn’t have the deep, meaningful lyrics that we’re used to hearing from him. Let us know what you think.

If you listen to this long enough your brain will start to hurt.
