Australian artist Mickey Kojak has been making noise over the past year. His covers of Daft Punk, Mac DeMarco, and Dido are impeccable. Oof Mickey Kojak has done it again. The Australian synth pop master has delivered another hit that I adore. His warm dreamy vocals pair up with a groovy beat and a little help from Bluejuice’s Jake Stone for a gorgeous composition. I can’t wait to hear what else he has in store for us when his “Coming Together” EP drops in 2 weeks.

Laxcity is one of my favorite rising producers right now. His album Catharsis blew me away and this year he’s dropped stunning remixes of Alina Baraz, San Holo, Ekali, and Medasin. Now his first original of 2019 sees him team up with EMIA for a gorgeous love balled. “Just Try” features soft synths, EMIA’s angelic pop voice, and creative production. Who is Mickey Kojak you might ask. Well he is a budding talent from Australia you should keep your eye on. He released stunning covers of Daft Punk and Mac DeMarco last year that need to be on your radar. Now he’s back with an incredible rendition of Dido’s classic song White Flag.
