DOSVEC says “Call it Big Room Bangers / Festival Music or whatever else there is out there “Ultronic Tsunami” just makes me want to Turn Up The Volume & RAGE”

When the hook drops it will make you see why – these two songs go together like Tequila and Salt (and we all know what happens after to many Tequila shots)

Hip-Hop, Rap | Drop City Yacht Club – Hey You

Posted by on August 4, 2013

Best known for their radio single, “Crickets” featuring Jeremih, Drop City Yacht Club has returned to show us they aren’t just your average hiphop group. Spinning off the classic Nas track, “I Can”, DCYC reconstructs his hook from: “I know I can, be what I want to be” to “I know I am, fresh as I wanna be”. The light, yet swagger-filled hook, in addition to three verses from Kristo, A.Wolf and THX make for a fun song to jam out to on any occasion.

Drop City is heading out on tour with rap legends, The Goodie Mob this fall so be sure to check out their dates and stop in for a show if you’re in the area. Enjoy and watch Drop City Yacht Club continue to build up buzz as they progress in their music.

Cover, Hip-Hop | PropaneLv – Crooked Smile (J. Cole Cover)

A couple days after J. Cole released the second single off his upcoming Born Sinners, hip-hops cover king comes through with a Crooked Smile cover. Lv barely touches the TLC vocals on the hook and adds his raspy and relatable verses. Lv’s debut project Varsity Blues is coming this fall.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Dillon Cooper – State of Elevation [Music Video]

Brooklyn boy, Dillon Cooper, recently shared his second video single off his highly anticipated debut project, Cozmik.  Similar to his first release, Survival of the Fittest, Coop flexes on a 90’s sounding beat by Muvafux.  Dillon elevates from his previous releases with ingenious wordplay, a smooth hook and an non stop energy in front of the camera.  Release date for the mixtape is still unknown, but I’m confident Dillon won’t release this until he reaches a state of perfection.

Lv’s latest upload is missing his typical format: powerful vocals on the hook and raspy bars – this one is pure bars all the way through and he puts the icing on the cake with a long acapella to finish it off. Sometimes a dude just has to rap.

Trance | Max Graham feat. Tania Zygar – Diamonds (Max Graham Club Mix)

A beautiful song for a beautiful day. Don’t be fooled by the mellow vibe — “Diamonds” boasts big, orchestral pads, an airy hook, and sublime vocals courtesy of Tania Zygar. This track is pure feel good music that’s pretty much made for warm spring weather.

Sidenote: in its Beatport description, this track is described as a “trancer.” I’ve seen this expression used before and I just want you to know that I don’t support it. Just because you’re planning to finish your ten-pager before going to pick up a sixer of Bud Light doesn’t mean you now have license to heedlessly use the letters E and R to nominalize things all over the damn place. Just yesterday my friend described an upcoming job interview as a “phoner.” This reign of terror must end.
