I’m going to be honest, when I first heard this song, I thought the vocals were shaky. I’ve given it a few listens, and I’m starting to come around on the song. If you didn’t notice, G. Curtis samples this on the hook.

Well, apparently this is the unfinished version. Why they released this is beyond me. I thought there were going to sample the movie soundtrack from “300” and have Ester Dean on the hook? Interesting, it samples this.

Considering it’s the theme song to the HBO series How To Make It In America, many of you may recognize THC’s previously posted hit titled “I Need A Dollar (Remix)”. The catchy hook backed by a consistent bass-line compliments THC’s flow quite well, something which seems to be a recurrent theme in his music. Both of the tracks below, which incidentally are off of the free mixtape, bring a similar vibe to your speakers. I’m loving “Rise and Fall”; it sounds like a Red Hot Chili Pepper jam with a few rap verses thrown in the mix.

Just doing a casual Friday blog n beer…Anyways rumor has it that Kinetics & One Love have been collaborating with Wynter Gordon (best know for her song Dirty Talk and her hook on Flo-rida’s “Sugar”) to bring college students nationwide a graduation song. Oh and one more thing, K&1L will be releasing the track through FNT this weekend so stay tuned. Below is an older but still fresh K&1L track that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Here’s the newest track off White Panda’s official website. Apparently their weekend concerts, including one at Trinity College, were off the hook – here’s a special shout from their site, “thanks for the great crowds at the shows this week. You were all awesome. New track features Chris Brown, Annie, and Designer Drugs to keep your feet movin. Enjoy!” Props to Psi U for arranging to get these guys on campus.
