I posted a track of Aer’s about a week back. As I said before they bring a nice reggae vibe to the hip-hop scene. They dropped this video a few days ago, given the production isn’t up to par of artist like Mike Posner (unless your watching “Bow Chica Wow Wow”). This is still a great track, these guys deserve big respect on it.

I am never disappointed by what Zion I releases. The verses on this track are FIRE and I’m really feeling this beat.

Now this is how you’re supposed to lose your EP virginity. Gorilla Warfare Tactics took the blogoshpere by storm last month with their leaks “Temptations” and “The Tale of Mr. Street” and although the former is probably the best cut off this tape, that certainly doesn’t mean this NYC based trio failed to delivered with the additional 5 tracks. Perhaps these guys will provoke a resurgence of old school hip hop sounds, at least amongst the ever growing population of up-and-coming artists. Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke’s much anticipated “Turbulence” track, featuring Lil Jon, was officially released today.
The accompanying video, which has been posted above, displays the sort of turbulance, or shall I say hurricane, that Lil Jon brings to every track he’s featured on.
Even the all-so-annoying influence of hipster-flavor in this video (which was, presumably, Aoki’s idea) can’t mask the ridiculousness of Lil Jon stomping around and whippin’ his dreads back and forth.
Hey, I’m all for hip hop merging with electro, but when it comes to useless screaming–Aoki should stick to incorporating his own vocals.

This should quench your indie hip hop thirst for at least a few days. I’m pretty excited to drop this not only because the tracks are dope but also because “Dancernaut” happens to run one of my favorite blogs DancingAstronaut.com. Talk about putting me to shame, this guy can run a sick site andddd harness the power of his fans to jump off his career. I’m really digging the singular vibe these guys bring to their tracks.
