HUGEEE PARTY SONG…this track is going to be everywhere. All of these hip hop stars realize the direction music is headed in and have been getting all over these house influenced beats. It’s one of those tracks that makes you want to crash your car when it comes on during the day, but get a few drinks in you, a few decent looking girls dancing next to you, and you’ll be screaming this song so loud people are going to think Lil Jon’s at the party.

This week Silverlake to Soho’s Morning After Tour hits up the East Coast with two BIG shows. This Thursday, April 21st, Tayyib Ali, Kinetics & One Love, Collin McLoughlin, 5 & a Dime, Fortune Family, Timeflies and others will be at Club 27 in Philly (tickets $25). Collin will also be in New York City this Friday with headliners, Timeflies, at Sullivan Hall (tickets $10). If you’re in the area, these are two shows that you don’t want to miss, I sure won’t, I’ll be at both. Below is some hip-hop to make your Monday a little more bearable.

First I am going to start by saying these tracks are courtesy of CSTAN. His internet is acting up on him and asked if I could put these tracks up. Cstan proceeded to then tell me how a track with Chevy Woods and Wiz Khalifa could only mean something good, well I think he’s right. This is cool, chill hip-hop; seeing as 4/20 is coming up in a few days, I feel like tons of tracks like this are going to drop.

As some of you may know, Curren$y is dropping his new EP, “Covert Coup” on 4/20. From these two tracks you can tell he is ready (more ready than Dr. Dre seems to be). In my mind Curren$y uses old school rapping style, yet on futuristic hip-hop beats which turns out to be pretty sweet. “Scottie Pippen” is a good track, but if I had to choose one I’d pick “Full Metal.” Mainly because I like it when he raps on beats like it, feels like his flow runs better.

Sade’s “The Moon and the Sky” track is beautiful in itself. Yea…I said it, beautiful. With a producer like Noah “40” Shebib, who produces many of Drake’s tracks, “The Moon and the Sky” was bound for success.
Jay-Z’s collaboration on the track, however, transforms its entire feel. The seriousness of Sade’s vocals fit perfectly with Jay’s lyricism. If you’re in need of some chill hip-hop after a rough Friday night, I would suggest downloading the track below. “The Moon and the Sky” will appear on Sade’s upcoming The Ultimate Collection, which drops May 3rd.
