Hip-Hop | Aer – Shot Clock ( Avicii Remix )

Posted by on September 12, 2011

Avicii’s levels has to be one of the biggest beats of the summer, and personally I think that the mania over this song has just begun. Therefore, I was pumped to see Aer roll through and put their own unique spin on this already epic track. Aer manages to wrangle this buck wild beat and turn it into a hip-hop heater. Make sure to follow Aer on facebook and twitter.

Hip-Hop | Cypher Clique – Got My Vans (Prod By Zeke)

Posted by on September 9, 2011

Delaware Hip-Hop Group Cypher Clique drops sonme visuals to their super smooth track entitled Got My Vans. I really like these guys because they have a really grass roots hip hop feel, just a dope beat, clever rhymes and a raw sound. This latest drop is the just one of many videos they have dropped for tracks off of their recent mixtape, The Show.

Hip-Hop | Prince Ea – Backwards Rappers

Posted by on September 7, 2011

“I’M SO TIRED OF RAPPERS TALKING ABOUT BULLSH*T ON THE RADIO!! IT REALLY PISSES ME THE FU*K OFF. I MADE THIS VIDEO TO HOPEFULLY GET THROUGH TO SOME OF THEM…..

Shouts out to De Storm, NAS’s Rewind, Lost Generation, The dude who wrote Bars from Sumer, and all others who came before :)”- Prince Ea

Although this video has quietly been going viral for approximately a month now, I still felt it was necessary to share with anyone who has yet to see and/or hear it.  It’s not everyday we come across an artist like Prince Ea.  Creative, thought provoking, clever, honest, are just a few words that can describe his music.  The 22-year old St. Lunatic native has received some serious publicity with the release of this track and video, representing the opposing end of the hip-hop spectrum we’re so accustomed to hearing, making “smart cool”.  Prince Ea shares his opinion on all the “backwards rappers” in the industry nowadays and how behind the champagne, catchy hooks, drugs, etc. is knowledge and potential.  Books > Hooks. Hip-Hop | Deon Chase – For The Chase

Posted by on September 6, 2011

Deon Chase aka the 16 year old Hip Hop artist we presented last week, sent over his latest track entitled “For The Chase” which features a bass thumping big boy beat that he handles quite well. I’m still bullish about this young gun – I encourage you to sound off in the comments section with your opinion.

Hip-Hop | Ludacris – Rich & Flexin’ (ft. Waka Flocka)

Posted by on September 2, 2011

I’m on the fence about this one. I have a feeling it could pull me in after a few listens (perhaps even a little radio play), but then again, it might just be a bust. At any rate this is the most buzzing hip hop track from the last two days and since he threw in the black belt rhyme (yes, Gmoney and I are part of the club) I had to show him some love.

“I’ve got a couple black belts but they all from Louis Louis”
