Events | Full Lineup Revealed for Badlands Music Festival
Posted by Mel on June 9, 2014
Western Canada has kept up with the rise of EDM with a number of high profile shows and events over the past few years and Badlands Music Festival has been among those leading the way. Kaskade, Afrojack and Steve Aoki helped inaugurate the event last year and with this years lineup now fully revealed, it’s sure to be a good time once again. Dada Life, Duck Sauce, The Bloody Beetroots and Borgore are just a few of those on the lineup. In addition to those headliners, they are also many other great artists such as GTA and, as always, my tight, tight bros, The Chainsmokers. If you would like to know how Drew and Alex seduce women or their thoughts on glory holes, then check out the interview I did with them. If you are in Calgary on July 4th to the 6th and enjoy dance music, then join me at Badlands. Full lineup in the video above and go here to buy tickets.
Bass, Trap | Young Thug – Stoner (Miles Medina Remix)
Posted by Nick on April 8, 2014
Just after getting his “Throw Some D’s” remix spun by the legends themselves GTA down at Ultra in Miami, Miles Medina is back with a brand new hit: a remix of Young Thug’s “Stoner.”
The original already went hard, but after you listen to the twist Miles put on it, you’re going to lose your mind – especially if you hear it live. This thing is dirty, and I mean that in the best possible way. Remember his “My Neck My Back” remix? This track bumps just as loud, so make sure to grab your free copy and show Miles Medina some love by giving him a like or a follow.

Electro-House | GTA – The Crowd
Posted by Middy on October 10, 2013
GTA return to Calvin Harris’ label Fly Eye Records with a band new single “The Crowd”. They have always been ones to stand out, and we see that again with this track. Much like their “f*ck genres” approach, this track embraces moves from electro to trap and everything in between. I wonder how many people have stumbled across GTA’s music after the launch of GTA 5? Probably quite a few.

Moombahton | GTA – Yolohton

This track is stupid, it’s so good. GTA releases “Yolohton” under Calvin Harris’ label Fly Eyes Record, and it’s a party! This is GTA’s first original track since they dropped “Boy Oh Boy” featuring Diplo, along with their remix of Calvin Harris’ latest single “Thinking About You” a few months back. “Yolohton” reminds me of Bauer’s “Harlem Shake” with an electro twist. Expect to hear this track all over, I can only imagine the scene going nuts, once this track is dropped at festivals…

Events, Review | 5 Things I Learned and Saw At Electric Adventure
Posted by Middy on August 22, 2013
In a little Throwback Thursday edition of event reviews, we have Electric Adventure, the 2-day festival that took place at Six Flags, in New Jersey over the 3rd and 4th of August. It combined a bass and trap heavy lineup, with some of the premier roller coasters on the eastern seaboard, giving you an experience where your adrenaline was always pumping, unless you were waiting in line for rides. The lineup was well rounded with guys like Dillon Francis, Seven Lions, GTA, 12th Planet and Zeds Dead all performing over the 2 days. Click past the jump for a few photos and some things I learned and saw at the festival.
Events | Electric Adventure Announces Full Lineup, Tickets Still on Sale

Electric Adventure painfully announced the lineup one name at a time, culminating in Seven Lions being the final artist added to a bass heavy roster fit for an American festival. The recently expanded, two-day festival being held at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson New Jersey, boasts names like Dillon Francis, GTA, Seven Lions, Doctor P, Figure, Zeds Dead and a live show from Destroid. You can see the full lineup on the poster above. One of the finer things about the lineup is that it has scheduled breaks in between for you to go enjoy the rides with DJs like DJ Bl3nd taking over the decks. With all of this heavy bass music coming to Six Flags, I can’t wait to see all of the terrified looks on parents faces when they first see all of these kids running around in neon, yolo trucker hats and other obscene apparel that covers almost no skin, and then hear the screeching dubstep come blaring out of the Electric Adventure area. Should be a blast and a clash of cultures. The park will also be open late for people who bought Electric Adventure tickets, so you will have an extra 2 hours, until midnight, to ride roller coasters before slinking on home. Tickets are still on sale so grab them before they are gone.
