This track has the most epic sound to it. I feel like the US team should run out into the stadium for the next Olympics to this. Good Daft Punk Tron track turned into greatness.

Passion Pit is just great at what they do. I was happy to see that they were the ones to make the first good remix of the new Beastie Boys track.

Darkroom is a new, fast rising sub-genre of electro, although many have never heard the name before. It is a blend of electro and dubstep but maintaining a very strong electro beat. Savoy is silently dominating this sub-genre not so quitely. His tracks are hard, heavy, and amazing. Besides those great things Savoy is bringing back laser shows, nice.

Above are the visuals for Goone’s Hypnotized. The video itself came out great, but I wish he chose a different song off his Grapefruit Starship mixtape, which is a must have for those of you that are into the electro-hop genre. You can get it here. Below is some new Mac Miller, which is off the 2011 XXL Freshman mixtape. I’m not sure what the deal is with the messed up cut right at the beginning of the track, but the song itself is dope.

Apparently when Lil Wayne claimed he was going to take on this new rock/rap sub-genre because he already mastered his original style, he inspired a number of other rappers to follow in suit. I’m not too crazy about this style and hope the big dogs don’t continue to stray too far from their comfort zones. What do you all think are we digging this sound?

A few months back I wrote about electro music taking over hip hop and how soon, the two genres would infuse creating their own sub genre. Afrojack producing a song that Neyo hops on is exactly what I was talking about. This beat has that signature house sound Afrojack creates so well tied with a nice mainstream poppy sound that produces the perfect sound for this collaboration…

Mac MIller is an animal. He just dropped this track which just so happens to be a cut off his upcoming mixtape, Best Day Ever. In true Mac Miller fashion, he keeps the vibe “chill”. When I got it the genre was labeled as MOSTDOPE and you know what? I have to agree. Release date for the new mixtape is March 11th, which may end up being the BEST DAY EVER.
