Bootleg | Fedde Le Grand, Matthew Koma, Zedd – AutoSpectrum (Brian Kramer Bootleg)

Posted by on August 12, 2012

Well, looks like Denvers very own, Brian Kramer, is back at it again with another bootleg. After sending over his first two tracks (which you can find here) I found myself addicted to the simplicity and perfection of these bootlegs Brian Kramer constructed. In an age where mashups and bootlegs are frowned upon, Brian Kramer has ditched the norm of the genre: find a fast paced house banger, throw Katy Perry & Lil Wayne vocals over it, and call it a day. He instead blends a few different samples to create something unique & ornate; something more…somehow all whilst using less (I just used the word whilst). Download it people.

Hip-Hop | G-Eazy-Plastic Dreams (Feat. Johanna Fay)

Posted by on July 25, 2012

The melodies, the back-up vocals, the tune, the beat. G-Eazy never really fails to deliver, but with his new drop “Plastic Dreams” it’s palpable how good he has gotten. This Bay Area artist has transcended the bay whomp and southern drop to create his own genre. Available on all of his releases, G-Eazy does not just focus on himself as he ties in all aspects of the song. This is a co-ed acceptable piece that goes beyond girl fire and won’t disappoint the heavier rap fanatics. So grab an ice cube, some Knob Creek bourbon, a velvet chaise lounge and get it in.

DO SOMETHING

Dubstep, Electro | KDrew – Last Train To Paradise (The Noisy Freaks Remix)

Posted by on July 11, 2012

The Noisy Freaks tend to dabble in Electro, Electro-House, and Dubstep, but Complextro is the genre the duo calls home. Not many artists claim the Electro/Dubstep blended genre their main production preference, but if one is going to do it I’m glad it was these guys. The original from KDrew had incredible vocals that are utilized perfectly on this remix. Laser firing, bass pumping, and synth sweating, this track was made for the dance floor.

Trap | Ellie Goulding – Starry Eyed (Joker Remix)

Posted by on June 17, 2012

Trap seems to be the upcoming genre, even though it has been around longer than Dubstep…oh well. Anyways, Trap is hard for me to get into due to how simple it tends to sound, never really grabbing my attention. I honestly love this Trap remix done by Joker. The effects he uses are cool, and the overall composure of the track is sweet. Worth having in my opinion.

Hip-Hop, RnB | Cocaine80s – Express OG EP

Posted by on May 30, 2012

Grab this right now! Although this is rather hard to put into one specific genre, it is unique and phenomenal. Combining captivating guitar riffs, powerful vocals, quality rhymes, and even grabbing features from two of Hip-Hop’s legends, Nas and Common, Cocaine80s makes this brand new EP a must have. My standout tracks are Take My Keys and This Can’t Be a Crime.

Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Moufy – The Preparation [Mixtape]

Posted by on May 21, 2012

I present to you Moufy’s pre-EP mixtape, “The Preparation”.  Releasing several of the tracks over the past few weeks, including his most recent releases, “F*ck Ni**as” and “Blunt Burn” Moufy has done his part to shun any doubters. I’ve always said Moufy’s storytelling ability is my favorite attribute he purvey’s as an artist.  Like his deep emotional track, “Miss Newton”, Moufy yet again displays his ability to step back and analyze the hardships in his life throughout his pursuit of happiness in hip-hop on his new track, “Blunt Burn”.  The mixtape definitely includes a variety of sub genre’s like previous projects from Moufy.  Fine-tune your ears for this one affiliates, because Moufy’s improved lyricism and clever wordplay will have you constantly hitting the rewind button.
