The original has a deep house, funk sound to it, and the remix is exactly what needed to be done to get this record out there. I’m feeling what Dave did to the vocals and adding the super catchy guitar, and bass lines, which you’ll want to listen to on repeat. Just when most rappers are trying too hard to sound different, and weird, Luke’s keeping it fun and universal. Well folks, it’s been real. Tomorrow, Sept 22, marks the official end of summer 2013. In honor of the change in season, I present to you the second installment of my very own Warm Air mixtapes. A mix designed to ease the transition of swimsuits to sweaters and piña coladas to pumpkin spice and peppermint mocha lattes. A mix to warm you up in the cool autumn breeze, to relive the sweet memories of the past few months, and keep your spirits up and motivated as you face challenges in school, work, and everyday life. So close your eyes, and let this mix take you back to that moment on the beach where you dug a hole in the sand with your toes as you watched the sun set, or when you indulged in the most amazing 4th of July BBQ of your life, or drove around recklessly with the top down and the radio up, or the night you watched an epic fireworks spectacle with your boo thang wrapped up tight in your arms.
Remember, just because the summer is over doesn’t mean the fun is. Oh no, 2013 can and will go out with a bang. With 3 months left to go, it’s time the real fun begins.

“My Friends Never Die” by ODESZA is an absolutely blissful album. All the tracks are great, but personally I think the title track is the highlight. Overall the album is smooth, classy, and chill – while still being fun. It’s electronic music done right. I enjoyed it from start to finish, and fortunately for us it’s free! Progressive House | Paris Blohm – Believe

This has certainly been a breakout year for LA based producer Paris Blohm and after a few months wait, he is now back with another free original. Instead of taking the darker, hard hitting route that most of his songs tend to go, he has chosen to show his more harmonic and cheerful style in a rather short but fun instrumental. Like his most popular song “Presence”, this too is dedicated to his lost sister Chloe.

I’m sure some of you heard some of the other remixes of “Arms” by MNRS by Olugbenga and Cats Hero many months ago, and now 19 year old German producer Virtual Riot has put out his version for MNRS’s “Arms (Single & Remixes)” EP official release this last week! Virtual Riot was the only one to take a dubstep spin on the track, and his exciting, bass-filled version is such a fun listen. It keeps the cool indie pop vibes of the original while adding the deep bass and growls us dubstep lovers crave. The EP is now available on US, UK, and German iTunes!
