Ever since we popped his blog-scene cherry (no homo) by offering Austin an outlet for his music, the name DJ Philistine has become a household name, ok not quite but we are getting there. Therefore, a few weeks ago we jumped at the opportunity to sponsor and promote his weekly gig at Happy Ending in New York. The details for the show are posted below along with a few Philistine tracks (including two brand spanking new and dope ones). Make sure you attend the premier!

Starting June 23rd, show up with your dancing shoes and check out the disco house and funky electro beats. DJ Philistine will be there ready to throw down, spinning for your pleasure. The night will go late so be sure to stop by, and if you have the balls, come in disco attire.

The good people at Sumer 618 are throwing an event that may even rival Woodstock. Not only will the event be a rager, it is also eco-friendly and fueled by biodiesel, run with electronic ticketing, and hosted on a natural food local-crop farm that will reinvest its profits in sustainability. Environment aside, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. The VIP dome (which is this unreal geodesic dome) will have a surprise electronic line-up that won’t disappoint.

Summer 618 is an event that is being held on a 7000-person field on a Woodstock-sized farm just outside of Philly and Trenton, 1 hour from NYC by a $12 train. The line-up is as follows:
Chiddy Bang
Super Mash Bros.
5 & A Dime
plus 3 Philadelphia DJs
And 4 Surprise Electronic Artists in VIP dome/stage*
The VIP will be underneath an Ultra-style geodesic dome, a second stage will also host the official VIP after-party. The event is also eco-friendly and fueled by biodiesel, run with electronic ticketing, and hosted on a natural food local-crop farm that will reinvest its profits in sustainability. These guys care about the environment and that’s something I think that is important given the current spill in the Gulf as well as debate over Cap And Trade (which is an unnecessary carbon tax on America that will do little to combat climate change). That’s just my Political Science/Philosophy coming out. Anyways…
