As soon as you hear that iconic riff, you’ll already know what it is – but lemme just tell you to wait a second because this is, quite frankly, even better. As soon as I pressed play on Bordeaux-producer, Rusty Hook’s Baby Bash remix, “Get So Fly,” I straight up got the chills! Imagine the original, except without the cheesy lyrics, with a Jersey Club twist and full of unexpected breaks and pauses that leave you just dying to hear more. In the short amount of time this track has been live via Cosmonostro and Marmorean Records, it has already ran dry of free downloads, but you can still take 4 minutes and 20 seconds to get absolutely lifted, shifted, and higher than the ceiling (you know the rest).

Here’s a lil re interpretation of a classic mo town track by the Temptations, curtesy of FKJ. French Kiwi Juice has be doing his thang over there in the great city of Parîs for a while now, but this remix is just too funky to overlook. With its original bootleg over some bumpin’ kicks and groovy chords, this song will certainly strike those strings in your ears that will make you feel some type of way.

The only way I can even try and describe French producer Tchami’s sound would be: Grimey. Today we have a full preview of his brand new track, Untrue, as well as a fantastic remix to Martin Garrix’s huge track Wizard. If his “future house” genre is the next big thing, I’m all in for it. Alright so I’ve got 17 minutes on my self-timer before my computer goes into lockdown and I’m forced to start writing my 10-page midterm essay, so I gotta make this brief. Just moments earlier I was tipped off about this French producer SuGar and upon listening just to his most recent upload, I was compelled to expose this hidden gem. This track is a bit of a remix inception so ima break it down for you here. It all started with Lil Wayne’s “Love Me” feat. Drake & Future, which was then adapted (almost the point of being unrecognizable!) by sly5thave, a Brooklyn jazz musician and producer (who has some incredible other jazz covers worth checking out), which also features The ClubCasa, a Brooklyn-based music collective. Then finally, SuGar got ahold of that, spun a little trap on that ish and sprinkled it with some Bun B “Draped Up” rhymes and voilà! You’ve got this dirty south, brassy trap joint that’s simply one of a kind. And I’ve got another 5 minutes left on my timer, just enough to hit replay. Enjoy ~

Tune In Crew is back with one whirlwind of a track, an original single titled “Don’t Go Go.” While we normally see a mixture of electronic and Caribbean vibes from this French production duo, this time they seem to be tapping into some of the magic thunder from down under that we just can’t get enough of as of late. And lucky for them – it works! Just after one listen I anticipate this being one of those songs you can’t put on without at least one other person in the room asking for the name. Miami DJ / producer Tegan has released his debut three track EP “XII (Thirteen)”. The French born producer has a residency on Radio FG in Mexico and has taken his training as an audio engineer to the producing front with a few remixes and now 3 originals packaged in this EP. The three tunes show the melodic side of electro house, adding tasteful melodies to hard hitting saws and synths. Jump into the new year quickly with these three freebees from Tegan and look for more from him soon.

Two of the many people giving away tracks for Christmas is the French duo Magnus & Timon. Up until a couple of months ago, they had not released a track all year but since then they have now released six. I am a huge fan of these guys so this gives me great pleasure. The kind of pleasure only two French men can give to another man. Two originals and one remix is what they have given away and all of them are good, but the two originals are great. “Kepler”, the melodic one, and “Onyx”, the more hard hitting one are both lacking in vocals but they don’t need them, they are both outstanding songs on their own. Their Dada Life remix is good as well but the other two clearly stand above it.
