Dirtybird Records man Justin Jay takes a break from his official releases to release the middle school dance inspired tune “Bounce and Break”. A rare freebee from Justin Jay, he brings together a groovy, deep, g house tune with a focus strictly on the beats. Trap | Chief Keef – Bang (Havok Roth Remix)

There are certain guys that you can just tell are going to be winners. Not just from the early DJ support, but from the high-level collabs that happen quickly, as well as the internet buzz. Havok Roth is one of those guys, and having been commissioned to put together this free remix by Chief Keef’s camp, he proving that winning title once again.

Progressive House | Galantis – You (Young Bombs Remix)

Progressive house music, but even more so the performance of the everyday dishwasher are two things that I am not easily impressed by. Galantis’ “You” was huge and none of the official remixes could better it. Get ready to be impressed by a new duo out of Vancouver by the name of Young Bombs who have come as close as anyone will to topping the original. They said they wanted to add a “hopeful, uplifting vibe” to contrast the dark tone of the original and they have succeeded in doing so. My one criticism is that it is not mixed/mastered as well as it could be, but for their first release, it is understandable. With their debut track as great as this, there is sure to be good things to come for this Canadian duo.

No Limits are awesome. They have such a refreshing style and consistently put out quality stuff. Their latest is a dreamy piece of electronic music that becomes extremely catchy. Everything from the atmosphere, to the production, to the vocals are all top notch. These guys are going to be big soon.

Progressive House | Rachel Costanzo – Starlight (Marcus Santoro Remix)

Only a short while after his great remix of “One Way Home”, Marcus Santoro is back at it with another free track. Rachel Costanzo is a 16 year old artist local to Melbourne, the same place Santoro is from. He’s a fan of her, most likely thinks she’s cute, and didn’t acknowledge me when I jokingly asked for a shirtless pic from him, and so he was happy to remix her latest single. While it may not be his best track to date, it is still quality and another display of Santoro’s professional sounding productions.

Electro-House | Chris Avantgarde – Fuel

Chris Avantgarde inaugurates his newly formed label the proper way with an exceptionally strong first release. Produced by the founder himself, “Fuel” is a powerful, gritty, highly energetic track and probably his best to date. It is also one of the most well produced tracks I have heard in a while. Chris has a unique sound and his label is also unique, because all of their releases are free of charge. Never one to settle on generic, Chris Avantgarde and his new label are sure to be among those to watch going forward.

Chill, Electronic, Mix | Zimmer – Méditerranée | July Tape
Posted by mimada on July 28, 2014
After discovering his remix of MØ’s infectious “Don’t Wanna Dance” and consequently being BLOWN AWAY by it, it’s safe to say I was hooked on the Parisian producer, Zimmer. In addition to his collection of both remixes and originals, the self-proclaimed “horizontal disco and feel good house” artist keeps his 45k Soundcloud fans (and growing) at bay by releasing free monthly mixtapes, like any good artist should. This month’s mixtape, as you might have guessed from the title, has a Mediterranean theme to it, which not only means the selected songs transport you right to the white sandy beaches of Croatia or the Greek Isles, but each track has it’s own connection to the southern European region. Press play and take a trip to paradise without having to leave your room ^_^ Tracklist after the break!
