Fresh off a widely successful and widely played remix of The Who’s “Baba O’Riley” – seeing support from the likes of Don Diablo, Justin Caruso strikes again with an incredible remix of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me”. With another makeover of a classic, the Los Angeles producer puts his fresh house spin on the track while still keeping it something a listener can sing along to. Even though Caruso turns this into a summer house banger, Caruso truly pays respect to the original timeless piece by keeping the soulful vocals intact and an integral part of the track. Check it out now and grab that free download – it’s a perfect one to get down to as summer draws to a close.

Bad Royale have been on a complete rampage this year. As if works on Buygore and Mad Decent weren’t enough, the four San Diegans bring their imperial sound to Kannibalen Records by way of an official remix for Snails. “King Is Back” is the track the four hoodlums flipped and released for free. They waste no time in turning things up with their trap cut that is keeping the heat on at the end of the Summer season. Bad Royale have put out nothing but quality, whether we’re talking originals or remixes, but this is definitely one of their doper reinterpretations they’ve put out.

Snails never fails. The Kannibalen Records vomitstep master is at it again, this time with a VIP of his collaboration with Jack U and Taranchyla, “Holla Out.” He’s been playing it in his sets, making a killing every time it is pumped out of the sound system, no matter the venue. He brings his signature sound design to the table, while also mixing in some fresh new cuts. Snails has had an unbelievable year, and he’s still staying strong, pushing records that are rivaled by few in the bass game. Expect to hear more from this cat through Kannibalen Records, where he has been making mad moves over the past couple years to get where he is today.

Nu Disco | Jerry Folk Takes Years & Years’ “Desire” Into Space With New Remix
Posted by Tay on August 31, 2015
With the release of Communion in the rearview mirror, Years & Years has been the subject of plenty of remixes this summer. Frontman Olly Alexander’s pop croons provide the perfect vocals for a talented producer to come in and work some magic, and the UK-based electronica band has already been remixed by the likes of Gryffin, Zac Samuel, and more, and today, Norway’s Jerry Folk has unveiled his remix of Years & Years’ “Desire.” Folk is no stranger to indie remixes, as his remix of Oh Wonder’s “Lose It” topped the Hype Machine charts on its way to 4.5 million plays in less than a year, and his “Desire” remix is a lesson in nu-disco. Disco-tinged synth stabs combine with electro-infused basslines and subtle percussions accents to give Folk’s remix a decidedly 70s feel.

Electro-House, House | Black Tiger Sex Machine Bring The Rage With “Sleep Now In The Fire” Remix

After premiering their explosive Futuristic Thriller mix here with us at Fresh New Tracks, Black Tiger Sex Machine are back with their first remix. The masked Canadians took on “Sleep Now In The Fire,” the 1999 Rage Against The Machine single off The Battle of Los Angeles album. I don’t think the tigers could have picked a more appropriate song to remix, as the style and attitude fits right in line with what BTSM have been doing. With more soft styles at the forefront, Black Tiger Sex Machine have kept at pushing their hard electro style, which this remix embodies wholeheartedly. They’re on a surge to the top, and they aren’t going to stop until their rage revolution has taken over the game.

THANK YOU! Finally a producer has taken a classic, given it a modern twist, and actually made a good remix. Too often we see producers try to take on classic tracks and completely botch them, thankfully today Justin Caruso has done the complete opposite. The indie dance vibe of this remix combined with the future fills makes this one of my favorite remixes of late…best part is, you can download it for free below! I dare you to try to listen to this without tapping your feet.
