Sava & Razz have been posted on here before under Doubletap & Apollo, and although they recently changed their name, they haven’t changed their sound, and this latest remix of Foster The People’s “Best Friend” is super dope. The progressive house sound lays real nicely on these vocals, with an electro-house drop that’s perfect for the DJs, and I can’t help but anticipate this remix being spun at the clubs, once this single hits Top 40, as it should. This is a great song, and once again a remix sheds light on a great tune! This is a must listen and a must download!

Electro | Foster The People – Best Friend (Lost Kings Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on June 18, 2014
Los Angeles based duo known as Lost Kings, has been making some noise lately with their remixes and this one really caught our ears. There rendition of Best Friend by Foster The People is melodic, powerful and it’s perfect for the Summer. The vocals blends perfectly with Lost Kings progressive sound to really make an amazing progressive track. If you guys like this track, and are going to EDC, make sure to check them out at the Artisan hotel, during the sunrise set on Saturday and Sunday. As for now, you can go grab your free download on Soundcloud below.
Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | YONAS – The Transition [Mixtape]
Posted by Grubeats on June 25, 2012
The moment YONAS’ music first graced my ears, I knew I had come across a special individual. That was a couple months before the Bronx, NY native had released his debut independent album, The Proven Theory. At the time, I didn’t know much about YONAS outside what I had extracted from the few singles I had heard. I went on his website and ordered myself a copy of his album. When I received it in the mail a week later, packed & shipped from his managers apartment, I realized just how independent and driven this kid was. Since then, The Proven Theory has not left the 10-disc visor folder in my car. It’s my go to.
Several singles, remixes, and videos later, Y-O welcomes us to The Transition. A comprehensive 15-track project featuring a contagious blend of hip-hop infused with electronic beats, hard hitting bass, and conceptual rhymes. There’s no question YONAS is a bully in the booth, but he articulates his rhymes as well as any artist in the game. He has flourished largely because of his versatile style and confidence to make the music he wants to make. Featuring 7 previously released tracks, along with 8 brand new ones, this project has something for everyone. Young Sinatra aka Logic, makes a guest spot on the tape along with one of YONAS’ idols, Brother Ali, as well as Scotty James. Production credits due to Sean Divine (YONAS’s right hand man who has been credited with the majority of his original production to date), along with DJ Corbett, & Sean Ross among others. For any new listener, keep an open mind and embrace the art YONAS has created. This is a must download. #TheTransition.

Hip-Hop | YONAS – Drive It Like It’s Stolen
Posted by Grubeats on June 11, 2012
YONAS has made waves lately with his remixes nobody has been able to touch. Most notably, our favorite Bronx street preacher flipped Foster The People’s chart topping hit, “Pumped Up Kicks”, which is on the brink of breaking 2,000,000 hits on YouTube. While YONAS’ attack has been rather stealth over the past few years, he’s beginning to garner the recognition he deserves with love from some of the most respected hip-hop sites such as XXL. Continuing with his string of amazing sampled tracks, Y-O brings it back to the blueprint and delivers a filthy new track over The Glitch Mob’s “Drive It Like You Stole It” which will act as the second single off his upcoming project. Consider this a verbal warning as YONAS shares a lesson on how to “Drive It Like It’s Stolen”. The Transition mixtape coming June 25th!

YONAS drops the glocks and brings the kids on set, armed and ready with super soakers, for his remix of “Pumped Up Kicks”. I’ve said it before, but this is hands down the best remix of Foster The People’s smash hit, “Pumped Up Kicks”. One of the most treasured sneaker’s of all time have definitely got their use as of late, but YONAS ensured he only dusted off his old pair for this one special occasion. It’s not often YONAS drops a video, but when he does, he makes it count. It still boggles my mind how he hasn’t completely blown up yet.

Hip-Hop | YONAS – Pumped Up Kicks (Remix) ft. Foster The People
Posted by Grubeats on September 15, 2011
I realize YONAS hasn’t been a regular feature here on FNT, but I’m going to do my best to change that. I’ve been following the Bronx, NY MC for quite some time now and he continually delivers quality music. YONAS, no acronym, but rather his birth name, owns distinct flow, powerful lyrics, and a great voice. It’d be overwhelming for me to post all the past fire tracks YONAS has delivered, so I’ll give you guys small dosages every time he drops some new material.
Although this track is a bit dated and has been worked pretty hard on the remix front, YONAS maintains the quality without dumbing it down. Keeping the original hook done by Foster The People, YONAS adds his two verses for a nice n’ smooth remix.
