Electro | 5 & A Dime’s Latest, “Rush,” Is More Than Worthy of Festival Main Stages

Here at FNT, we’ve been supporters of 5 & A Dime for quite some time now, and we’ve seen his growth from a successful mashup career to full-fledged original producer. This Philadelphia-based up-and-comer has been taking the dance world by storm, which can be seen by the support he’s getting on major festival stages, like Coachella, from artists such as The Chainsmokers, TJR, DJ Snake and more. 5 & A Dime just unveiled his latest masterpiece, “Rush,” and it’s appropriately titled as it’s a relentless, electro stomper that also brings future and house sounds in the mix, which are a sign of his musical evolution. It’s already been a fruitful year for the young talent, but he’s bound for greatness throughout the rest of this year and beyond.

If you haven’t already heard, Billboard’s inaugural Hot 100 Festival begins its weekend festivities tomorrow at New York’s Jones Beach Theater! Any music lover can be certain that there will be something to write home about as the lineup holds a plethora of artists across just about every major genre, and the festival has even built even more anticipation with its late adds. These artists include singer Tori Kelly, rapper Trinidad James and producer/DJ Sicarii, who we’ve supported right here on FNT. Festival season will be coming to a close before you know it, so don’t sleep on this one! Tickets are still available on Ticketmaster.

Progressive House | FOCUS FIRE’S “FOLLOW YOU” HAS GOT US FEELING GOOD

Just over a year old the Arizona based duo Focus Fire has caught the attention of the entire FNT team. For their latest track they’ve teamed up with the vocal group Sidekicks to give us a progressive house piece that is non-stop feel good from start to finish. The up beat tempo and absolutely killer vocals in “Follow You” make this song almost impossible too listen to without bobbing your head. These two may not be very well known for now, but with hits like this one, that is sure to change.

Future Trap | MARSHMELLOW’S FLIPS CALVIN HARRIS’ “OUTSIDE”

Not too long ago a mysterious DJ referring to himself as only marshmello found his way on to the FNT radar. We’re not sure who he is or where he’s from, but if he keeps doing what he’s doing it won’t be long till he’s on everyone’s radar. With a style the artist describes as “fluffy” and “sexy” marshmello is putting his own twist on house and trap. His latest song is yet another remix of Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s “Outside”, but right from the start Marshmello was able to make this song his own and come up with a track you need to hear.
