Fareoh just posted a new track off of his upcoming EP/Album fusing some hip-hop with Dubstep to create a melodic masterpiece. Using Lady Gaga’s hook off of her track with Kendrick Lamar called ‘Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe’ to give this tune the right atmosphere for everyones summer adventures. Going with Lady Gaga over Kendrick was probably the better choice in this case, because female vocals always work out best with melodic Dubstep tracks. Make sure to keep up with Fareoh to find out more about his EP/Album release that will be coming soon.

Events, Review | Fareoh returns to Santos Party House for a Special Hometown Set

Posted by on December 20, 2012

I had been very excited to see Fareoh for a second time after his Halloween set with Adventure Club & Nero, especially in a club setting where he would be the headliner with more time to craft the ideal Fareoh set. I got to the venue around 11:45 and the place was largely empty as you would expect in a New York City nightclub, with a few groups dancing on their own to the soulful tech grooves of the opening DJ. As time progressed from midnight on, the crowd started to fill in, many wearing santa hats and costumes because of Santacon that day. Fareoh was late getting to the venue and this threw off the opener who reverted to some safer, commercial plays a little after 1am as the venue was getting very full.

At around 1:30, Ian Spurrier, better known by his stage personna, Fareoh, arrived at the venue and wasted no time getting right into it. The venue itself has a very unique charm and style, as it does not go for the big LED screen or the big laser displays, but rather puts the DJ booth front and center in the middle of the crowd and allows for a more intimate setting between the DJ and the audience who surround the booth on all sides. Fareoh, playing to a packed club of people dressed in clothing ranging from full on Santa costumes, to your usual clubbing attire, to the guy in a LED suit (way to be), wasted no time making sure his presence was known on the decks taking the lead with a big room, bootleg heavy set.

Progressive House | Joan Reyes & Heren feat. Amba Shepherd – Perfect Crime (Fareoh Remix)

Posted by on December 19, 2012

Coming off of his “Lessons In Love” remix, Fareoh follows that outstanding remix up with another for “Perfect Crime” featuring the indelible Amba Shepherd on vocals. Fareoh delivers on a sublime melody, a quick alternating bass line and well timed stops that mesh perfectly with Amba Shepherd’s heavenly vocals. With vocal stutters and smooth piano builds easing into the drop, this displays two very impressive remixes in a row from the young New Yorker and shows he is a force to be reckoned with going into 2013.

House, Preview | Joan Reyes & Amba Shepherd – Perfect Crime (Fareoh Remix)

Posted by on December 3, 2012

Feels like it has been some time now since Fareoh blew our minds with a new track, couldn’t have picked a better preview to start up again. Just how this remix sounds sends chills through my body while I imagine this in a live setting. The one disappointment is the last few seconds of this preview because it’s the best part. Those few seconds are the pinnacle moment of the track that makes it a must have dance track. The remix releases December 18th on Beyond Sounds.

Programming note, we will be sponsoring Fareoh’s upcoming show at Santos Party House next Saturday the 15th at Santos Party House in NYC and we will have a giveaway for that later this week.

Progressive House | Kaskade ft. Neon Trees – Lessons in Love (Fareoh Remix)

Posted by on November 15, 2012

After many months of waiting, we finally have Fareoh’s remix of Kaskade’s single with Neon Trees “Lessons Of Love” from his 2011 artist album “Fire & Ice”. No doubt a byproduct of their time together on the “Freaks Of Nature Tour”, Fareoh gives the track a near total makeover, replacing Kaskade’s melody with his own, bringing it to the big room with the accompaniment of Neon Trees’ unique style of vocals the give the track an edge that you don’t get from most dance vocals. The track is free, all you have to do is sign in to twitter, so you have no excuse not to get it (unless you don’t have twitter).

Events, Review | Nero, Adventure Club & Fareoh @ Hammerstein Ballroom 10/27

Posted by on October 31, 2012

On Saturday when the dance music community was fawning over the fact that Sensation was on the second night of its US debut (some of them would later show up at this concert) Nero, Adventure Club, Fareoh and Alex English were putting on a clinic at Hammerstein Ballroom. While there were some issues with the sound in that the bass all came from the floor speakers and the mids and highs came from the hanging speakers, the overall production and atmosphere was great. Alex English started off the night with a good, energetic warm up set as the crowd slowly started to file in. Fareoh followed him up with a big room set mixing in his own remixes and originals with some well crafted bootlegs. Read on to see how the rest of the night went and the full photo album is on Facebook.
