Electro, Preview | Nelly Furtado – Parking Lot (Kill Paris Remix)
Posted by Mach on October 7, 2012
Kill Paris is back with another heavy and funky dance jam. He has finally started to get attention from labels, about time they caught on to his great skills. This official remix of his is releasing through Interscope Records, talk about a big move. The remix uses Nelly Furtado’s vocals is a very fun way, further powering the funkiness of this track. I have a feeling this remix will be big, it just delivers the right vibes to break-out, dance, and have a great time.
Electro-House, Preview | Kastra & Xristo – Warning Ft. Michelle Martinez (Gazzo Remix)
Posted by Mach on October 5, 2012
This just happens to be Gazzo’s first upcoming Beatport release, it is a part of Kastra & Xristo’s upcoming single, “Warning.” Gazzo did an ultimate job yet again, this remix really gets you pumped up. His build up with the vocals is perfect beauty, and once you hit the drop there is nothing else left to do but let loose and dance the night away. Gazzo’s remix and the original are set to release on October 13th.
Drum & Bass | Flume – Sleepless (RUN DMT Remix)
Posted by Mach on October 2, 2012
Woah! RUN DMT has been floating below the radar for a few months and just gave out a little treat. RUN DMT has never been know for doing anything good with Drum & Bass so this remix came as pleasant surprise. Apparently this remix only took less than a day to create, that says a lot because this has to be one of the better classic styled Drum & Bass remixes I have heard. I hat e vocal stuttering, the kind Skrillex made famous that everyone overuses but I have to say it does not bother me at all ont his remix. This is a must have!
Dubstep | Pretty Lights – So Bright
Posted by Mach on October 2, 2012
This may be the first time ever that Pretty Lights is making us buy a new single of his. This is a huge step in the artist’s career seeing as he has prided himself on the ability to release all of his music for free despite their availability on iTunes and Beatport. “So Bright” actually has little bit of Dark Soul style to it, mainly having to do with Pretty Lights’ way of infusing Dubstep with Soul and Hip-Hop. Not including his usual vocal sampling, the unnamed guy that comes in to drop a few verses is a nice touch. Pretty Lights is still a pioneer in EDM, it has been some time since he has released a big project. I wonder if this is the beginning to one?
UPDATE!!!!!: So Pretty Lights has stated this was not supposed to release yet so he has released it for free on his site. He has stuck with his original idea of everything free, true class.
Dubstep | Phear Phace – Leave Me Alone Ft. Jake Page
Posted by Mach on September 30, 2012
Phear Phace usually does a bit of Drum & Bass, Neuro-Funk, and filthier Dubstep but today he gave away this sweet, smooth dubstep freebie. He takes Melodic Dubstep to a whole new meaning with the heavy bass used on this track. It comes in like a storm on a quiet day while you sit an awe at the silent and deadly beauty it carries.
Dubstep, House | Cat Skillz – Let Me Wake Up
Posted by Mach on September 29, 2012
Been a while since we have posted Cat Skillz on FNT. When ever he does release a track it always a blend of a few styles. This original work of his that released today is a blend of House and Dubstep, a killer combination if used properly together. When I hit the first drop of this track I thought to myself “what is this BS, there is no dubstep…(waits), ah that’s nice.” The Dubstep coming in later through the drop is a nice touch, not something experienced often in this blend of genres.
Electro-House | Mathy Muso – Blue Balls
Posted by Mach on September 27, 2012
There is a funny story behind the name of this track. Mathy uploaded a clip a few days ago, the clip was all intro and build up with no drop. I knew that before hand, but made a joke how I basically had blue balls because of all the build up and no release…haha. Mathy decided to finish the track and name it “Blue Balls” in honor. Those of you who don’t know what it is, let Google be your friend. I warn you not to search in images as on my search for a picture for this post I have seen things that cannot be unseen, and it really is not what you would expect. Some pictures involved hospitals and guts so to speak, completely changing my reality of the understanding of how bad it can be. Anyways, this turned out to be an awesome Electro-House track.
