If you don’t know who SYRE is yet, I’d recommend familiarizing yourself with his music, as he is one of the fast-rising youngsters in dance music right now. Armed with a unique skill at sound design, the Vancouver-native challenges himself to produce tracks that aren’t restrained by the description of a genre, rather they contain a stunning melody or hook that instantly attracts listeners, as seen in his remix of “All In My Head” by Pat Lok or his Whistleback EP. His latest offering, “Burn,” which features Kendra Dias as the vocalist, is a nu-disco-inspired house number, with wavy synth riffs, subtle synth stabs, and a suave guitar melody.

Out on the progressive Amped Artists music label, Victoria Shersick is a name that you want to familiarize yourself with. In an industry lacking recognition for female talent, Shersick conveys her disregard for such patriarchy and pushes forward her musical response to such evident disparity. Yes, I use strong language because those who can break down these kinds of barriers deserve foundational vocal support. This EP is stunning. Victoria Shersick is pure and this piece displays her soft touch. As the name itself suggests, this EP is meant for long drives – for moments of reflection. Get behind this because it deserves all the support it receives.

I haven’t come across a soothing deep house track like this in a minute. Mixed with a subtle cinematic wave in the background, Beauriche puts us in a state of meditative trance. This track will no doubt be on repeat for me and makes for the perfect tune for those who look to syncopate their work outs or study grinds to music that motivate personal levels of efficiency.
