Events | Identity Festival 2012 Summer Tour Announcement

Of ALL of the US festival announcements this summer this may be the best one. Identity Festival last year was a blast hitting 30 cities in close to as many days tearing up the US from coast to coast with some of the best Djs from around the world, most notably Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Avicii, Nero, Pretty Lights, Skrillex, Chuckie, Nervo and more. This year the festival is back on a somewhat smaller circuit of 15 cities, maybe to keep the artsts on the whole way, we will not know until we see each dates lineup, but hitting many of the major cities on both coasts and in the center of the US, though there will be some people left out. However just look at this lineup, Arty, Hardwell, Noisia, Wolfgang Gartner, Paul van Dyk, Madeon, Porter Robinson, and HOLY SH*T ERIC PRYDZ and more. Eric Prydz has been over here as recently as 2007, but he has not been here since the explosion of EDM into the mainstream conscience of the American listeners so I anticipate it will be a totally different experience for him and the viewers particularly with his new triple album coming out of May 21st. Tickets are on sale NOW, so get them while the last for the dirt cheap pirce of $25, and then it is $40, which is still great compared to the outrageously priced festivals all across the US. This remix was originally intended for his sets only, but it was so popular and had so many requests to be released that somehow surfaced / leaked on the web. Eric Prydz not to be outdone, then changed the song to create this final version that is a masterful remix of the original track that everyone knows and loves. Compare the official version to the private mix and then get the song below. Also M83 will be touring the US soon and has sold out almost all their shows, but there are still a few tickets left, so hop on that. Tour dates and another remix of M83 after the jump. Also look out for an artist album from Eric Prydz next month with tons of IDs that people have only heard at shows or songs people have never heard.

Jeremy Olander delivers with this free two track EP that is exactly what you expect from Eric Prydz’ label, Pryda and Friends. These two songs are perfect for your rough Saturday morning with well developed builds and an excellent bass line, as well as subtle synth leads that crescendo into a combination of powerful synths and high energy bass. Be sure to watch out for this young Swede in 2012, with the continued support of Eric Prydz, a growing fanbase and a great 2011, this rising producer and Dj is sure to have a big year.

Skrubz has turned out to be a very well rounded producer. Starting off his little career with some dubstep and drum and bass, he has branched out over the summer, releasing house, electro, and now dutch tracks. “Call On Me” is one of the most legendary tracks in electronic music, but no one has seemed to think, ‘Oh hey! I should make a remix of this.’ Skrubz would not have been my first choice to do so, but after listening to this remix, he did an amazing job.
