DJ-Set, House | Eric Prydz Presents: EPIC Radio 004
Posted by Middy on October 4, 2012
Set to release October 15th, “Everyday” is simply genius, there isn’t much more or less to it. In the mean time you can always listen to the Pryda album, or to his podcasts, of which he just released the 4th installment, which unveils brand new unfinished Pryda material because as he says “Here on EPIC Radio, I get to do what the f*uck I want”. The radio show also features a great new track from Jeremy Olander, “Norrsken”, or “Northern Lights” in Swedish. He finishes off the show with a classic of his under his pseudonym Moo. Tracklist after jump.
DJ-Set, House | Fehrplay – Nightride
Posted by Middy on September 25, 2012
When Fehrplay is not photobombing Eric Pyrdz’s pictures he is hard at work putting together great house tunes. Following up his two track EP, Incognito / Runaway, “Nightride” provides a totally unique sound with a funky bass line, a smattering of pitched effects, and male vocal bits rounding out this eclectic track. Pryda Friends always releases a unique, refreshing sound in the style of its headmaster, Eric Prydz and “Nightrider” fits right in. Also included is a much belated posting of Eric Prydz’s third episode of EPIC radio that recaps his summer US tour with a whole host of unreleased material including a song with Steve Angello that will probably never get released and his sublime “The Veldt” edit that blows all others out of the water. Tracklist after the jump.

Events, Review | Identity Festival Philadelphia 7/29 Recap
Posted by Middy on August 3, 2012
Identity Festival made its triumphant return to Philadelphia with a quality lineup for all tastes with the likes of Arty, Madeon, Noisa, Excision, the master Eric Prydz and more. Though the lineup may not have been as stacked as last year as booking fees have risen astonishingly high in the last year, causing ticket prices to go even higher (or the other way around, chicken and the egg) the lineup was still very good and Identity Festival is going to provide an excellent show with outstanding visuals at a great price. It is something that we are seeing less and less these days.
The day started off with good sets from upstarts like “The Eye” and “Le Castle Vania” and when 5 rolled around it was time for Noisa to grace the stage with their eclectic Drum N Bass style, kicking the night into full gear. Pulling from a full array of their own songs as well as Electro and Dubstep tracks from others, Noisa’s set helped bring the festival to energy level it needed to be at with the crowd levels coming to their peak capacity. Pictures are now up on Facebook. Hit the jump for more of the recap.
House | Andre Sobota – Voyager / Found
Posted by Middy on July 9, 2012
Eric Prydz’s Pryda Friends is back at again this time with a two sided release from Andre Sobota. Voyager / Found gives us that smooth progressive sound you expect from Pryda Friends with Andre Sobota’s melodic twist on each of the tracks. The Brazilian DJ / Producer brings together exquisite melodies of long chords, dextrous key play and fine tuned rhythms that will make you lose yourself in his music. Also be sure to check out his remix of Colplay & Rihanna “Princess of China”.
DJ-Set, House | Fehrplay – Incognito / Runaway

Fehrplay is another fantastic addition to Eric Prydz’s label, Pryda Friends that has seen an uptick in activity with new signings and releases not just from the label chief himself with the monumental release of his “Eric Prydz Presents: Pryda”, but also with Jeremy Olander, Fehrplay and more. Fehrplay gives us that sound that we have come to expect and love from Pryda and his label. It is a refreshing change of pace now where the trends have moved towards heavier and heavier bass and many of the same types of progressive melodies rule the charts. If you want a change a pace from your normal hits (nothing wrong with those, I love them too) and are into this sound, this is definitely something you will want to get. Also check out the second EPIC radio episode that includes a plethora of unreleased Eric Prydz tracks and several other hand picked tracks that he has been playing out lately and been getting a great reaction from. Eric Prydz is touring the US now, which is a very rare occurrence so get your tickets now and go to a show near you. Tracklist for EPIC radio after the jump.

Progressive House | Pryda – Allein
Posted by Middy on May 14, 2012
After seeing Eric Prydz last weekend at Inox Festival, I could not help but simply be blown away at the mastery of this legend in the live arena. He is a reserved man who is not going to get on top of the decks and pump up the crowd with ridiculous stage antics. He simply lets his music and his 1922 commemorative Yankees hat do all the talking for him. “Allein” will be one of the bigger hits from his upcoming 3 disk 39 song album Eric Prydz Presents Pryda set to release in one week on May 21st. “Allein” gives us a steady yet subtly complex bass line with an emotive synth melody and a repeating vocal bit to enhance the melody and takes you one step closer to total bliss. Make sure you have checked out the album preview to be ready for May 21st.
Albums, House | Pryda – SW4 + Album Preview
Posted by Middy on May 8, 2012
Eric Prydz, under one of his two monikers Pryda, the other being Cirez D, has released a single that was country restricted for a day, but is now available for the whole world to enjoy in its full glory. This is what we have come to expect from Pryda with some of the most complex melodies in the business, a chugging bass line and complex layering that make his style truly unique in today’s modern dance scene.
Also if you somehow had not heard about the biggest album to be released in dance music in probably a decade, well Pryda will be releasing a TRIPLE 37 SONG album on May 21st and May 22 in the US. This album brings together songs he has released over past several years, a huge number of tracks fans have just been wanting for years and brand new tracks under his Pryda sound. Listen to the album sampler below and just be blown away at the pure mastery of this man and if this does not convince you to go see him at Identity Festival this summer, I am not sure what will. Though his set was not recorded this past weekend at Inox Festival, I can assure that he is one of the best sets you will see. Another preview from album and the tracklist after the jump.
