Electro-House | Cedric Gervais – Molly (Wild Boyz! & Nima G Remix)

Posted by on September 18, 2012

After having the luxury of a press pass and dancing with event staff at Electric Zoo while the speakerz mere inches away pumped my blood. I now look at the level of bass in each song. What do I want to dance to? I want to dance to Wild Boyz. This duo with 20 yearz of combined sound technician history have performed with Stevey A and my main betch, Nero. After developing their sound to the Duran Duran soundtrack “Wild Boyz” the name stuck and this duo have begun to take off across the country. They will have showz in San Fran, New England and New York City. Find some ticketz at their website. They are currently ranked 35 on beatport so they’re like mainstream, but not…at the same time. Perf.

Events, Review | Electric Zoo 2012 Recap

Posted by on September 13, 2012

We showed you Electric Zoo in images and gave you the sounds of each day. We’ve even given you a video recap that will bring all of your favorite moments of the weekend to the forefront of your mind. Now, we will try to capture the spirit of this great festival through words. Because even as Labor Day fades into the distance, the memories of the weekend live on. To put it another way, we’re talking about the small anecdotes that you and your friends will be laughing about for the next six months — the moments that reflect the atmosphere of the festival as a whole.

Preview, Progressive House | The Killers – Runaways (Pierce Fulton Remix) [Preview]

Posted by on September 10, 2012

Piece Fulton follows his official remix for Usher’s single “Scream” and his outstanding performance to start Electric Zoo with an official remix of the lead single “Runaways” off of The Killer’s upcoming album “Battle Born”. This remix lends itself to the more melodic side of Pierce’s sound, creating a well oiled melody to match the vocals from “The Killers”. This is not going to be one of Pierce Fulton’s hard hitting club offerings, but rather more of a soothing addition to his discography. If you are an AMEX member, you can get this now for free at the link below.

Electro-House | Firebeatz & Schella – Dear New York

Posted by on September 10, 2012

Firebeatz and Schella team up to bring us what was possibly the anthem of Electric Zoo this past Labor Day “Dear New York” as their ode to the Big Apple. Firebeatz have had a very busy 2012 cranking out remixes and originals and with this heavily supported track, they cap off the summer season with a bang. Sampling the Beastie Boys, a task not to be done lightly, Firebeatz & Schella bring out a varying bass line sure to get you moving with a matching chord progression that crescendoes into a drop of grinding saws, not unlike “Metropolis” that furnishes an edge and energy to give the track traction well into the fall.
