Albums, Hip-Hop | e-dubble – Reset EP [Album]
Posted by Jess on November 7, 2012
e-dubble, known for giving away for free new music for free every week for an entire year in his Freestyle Fridays series, just dropped his Reset EP. From listening to it, you can definitely to see the growth in his artistry as this is his best work to date. My favorite song off the EP is “Code Words” featuring the incredible vocals of Jhameel on the hook but give the EP a listen below and decide which track is your favorite. Become a fan of e-dubble on Facebook if you aren’t yet as well.
“At some point, everyone wishes for a clean slate. A chance to start over, to be absolved of regret, to put hindsight and wisdom to good use. Things aren’t in black and white, there are many shades of grey. Things are not absolute. For every right and wrong there exists an extenuating circumstance to shift your judgement. Ultimately to open up our minds to new possibilities, we have to “Reset.” – e-dubble
Hip-Hop | e-dubble – Cycle of Nightmares (Let It Go)
Posted by Jess on November 1, 2012
e-dubble lets loose one more track before his upcoming Reset EP drops Nov. 6th. The song is one of the more personal songs off the upcoming EP but he says despite its name, it is more “an anthem for deep breaths.” Read the story behind the song below.
“I wrote “Cycle of Nightmares” during a time of personal turmoil and uncertainty. I was not necessarily expecting it to be used as a song on my album, but rather as a kind of litmus test for me as a musician. I believed that if I could finish the song, and trudge through the literal and metaphorical dissonance that was both the music and my life at the time, that I would emerge with renewed energy and esteem for my craft. Wishful thinking, but as it turned out, that was half the battle.
Prior to finishing the track I was having trouble just putting one foot in front of the other, and the music I was trying to make seemed completely insignificant when I looked at the bigger picture. Which is where I was stuck, trying to bring context to everything in my life, overvaluing the tangible things, and completely undervaluing the importance of creative expression and emotion. It was as if there was a track stuck on repeat in my head telling me that my hopes and dreams were meaningless and that every task was insurmountable. I wrote “Cycle” as a rebuttal to that thought, and in exposing my vulnerabilities I found that I still had a great deal of strength left.” – e-dubble
Hip-Hop, Videos | e-dubble – Down [Music Video]
Posted by Jess on October 23, 2012
Fresh off the release of e-dubble’s successful single “Two Steps From Disaster”, which has garnered over 100,000 plays on YouTube and Soundcloud, comes the first single entitled “Down” off e-dubble’s upcoming Reset EP, set to drop November 6th. The video for “Down” is the brainchild of director A.P. Fischer, a recent graduate of the Art Center College of Design. A collaboration resulting in an introspective visual that compliment’s e-dubble’s lyricism, powerful voice and melodic production. It is great to finally get a music video to go along with e-dubble’s incredible music and I’m sure you will feel the same.
Pre-order for Reset EP here or at the official site.
The human race is over exposed to images of violence, sex, and materialism more than ever before; a saying that has never found its way to cliché. It’s a vivid illustration of the human mind, intelligent, yet ignorant. An inherent contradiction at the root of whom we all are, stemming from pains of growing up and facing our fears or possibly much deeper. The black void each of us trying to evade, and there doesn’t seem to be any clear escape, just a lot of ways to numb the pain. Essentially everyone has one; it’s the part of us we often try to hide. We’ve all faced a time where we are attracted to the thing that could destroy us. We’re only human and everyone makes mistakes. In the end, if we are willing, the only thing standing in the way of reaching our dreams is thin air.

In anticipation of his upcoming Reset EP, e-dubble just released a brand new single entitled “Two Steps from Disaster”. As is typical with e-dubble, he produced the track as well as provides the vocals. On the track, e-dubble expresses his thoughts on life, politics and the grind with an offbeat yet catchy instrumental. This is one of e-dubble’s best tracks to date, so check it out and below and grab it on iTunes. If you like what you hear, be sure to pre-order the Reset EP here.
Hip-Hop | iSH – Demons ft. e-dubble (Remix)
Posted by Jess on September 10, 2012
iSh starts off his remix series THR3MIX with a banger entitled “Demons” featuring the one and only e-dubble. The song samples Diplo’s remix of Sleigh Bells song of the same name, which both emcees hold their own. We haven’t been getting as many new e-dubble tracks lately, so enjoy this one. His new EP should be dropping in the near future.
Hip-Hop | e-dubble – Honors Bio

Where has e-dubble been lately? With his new “reality beard”, it may be assumed he has been hiding in Iraq or something of the like. The “reality” is that he has been busy working on his upcoming EP and just shot his first music video. Motivated by the whole process and he wanted to put something new out to tide over fans until the EP. Check out “Honors Bio” below and become a fan of e-dubble on Facebook.
Hip-Hop | e-dubble – Grey Skies (Prod. by Villain)

Taking a short sabbatical after consistently delivering new music almost every week for close to a year and a half, e-dubble is eager to get back in the booth and provide us with weekly refreshments. With high hopes of hearing the first of the new series of “Freestyle Friday’s” last week, e-dubble shared this unfortunate message with his Facebook fans,
“So Freestyle Friday can’t come back just yet, I have no car, no mics, and no hair. And APPARENTLY, I need a “break.” I don’t know what a vacation looks like, but if the beer flows anything like the Wines of Capistrano out at the COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES. I’ll be fine. Love, e-dub”
Soon after the Maryland MC shared this new collaboration with guitarist & producer, Villain, aka Billy Martin of Good Charlotte, who is also a MD native. Word is e-dubble is working on an EP to release this year in addition to Freestyle Friday’s which will hopefully resume soon.
