Dubstep, Progressive House | No Limits – Miracles (Feat. Jovan Wilder), Dreams
Posted by Mel on December 18, 2013
No Limits are a duo of 19 year old producers from Ohio who I just now came across and was really impressed with their work. One of the two tracks that stood out to me was “Miracles”, a progressive house track released a day ago for free. While it certainly isn’t the most innovative track, it is still an enjoyable listen. However, what really peaked my interest with these guys was an older track of theirs.”Dreams” is by no means new. In fact, it is literally a million years old. It is insanely good though and an impressive blend of multiple types of sounds, though the dubstep qualities are clearly the most apparent. Also, the drums in it are unreal. Both tracks are a free download.

Drum & Bass | Nadia Ali – Rapture (Jest*R Remix)
Posted by Mach on December 12, 2013
Nadia Ali’s “Rapture” is a trance classic in my opinion, and there have been many artists that have done their fair share of house, electro, and dubstep remixes, but this liquid drum & bass remix is a first for me. Jest*R is a lone producer from Myrtle Beach, SC and I really have to give him props on this remix. It is a serious beauty. I half expected the overuse of the vocals as most remixes of “Rapture” have, but Jest*R seems to have put much more focus on his melody, letting the vocals be that little extra something to the mix.

Dubstep | SomeKindaWonderful – Police (Vanic Remix)
Posted by Middy on December 5, 2013
Vancouver based dubstep producer, Vanic takes Cleveland band, SomeKindaWonderful’s “Police” and adds some dubstep heat to it. Vanic has become a very deft remixer thus far in his career, having taken on an official remix for Topher Jones on Ultra, and a host of other outstanding unofficial efforts. Generally dubstep this heavy does not tickle my fancy, but the slight reggae influences and the strong melodic feel, make this palatable for all music tastes. Vanic has proved himself as a remixer, but we hope to see more originals from him. You might just be seeing one sooner than you might know….

Dubstep | Rollz – Burn Up feat. Katie’s Ambition (Dabin Remix)
Posted by BP on December 1, 2013
I always get excited about a new dubstep release! This melodic remix from Dabin of “Burn Up feat. Katie’s Ambition” by Rollz is a good addition to any dubstep collection. It’s got low rolling growls mixed with powerful female vocals. The piano and strings give it a cinematic and intense feel. It’s out on Itunes now and if Beatport is more your style it’ll be there on December 9th. Check it out!

This original dubstep track from PRFFTT & Svyable called “Turn It Up” ft. Jonny Rose, the third release off of their Super//Natural EP, is melodic and moving. The vocals from Jonny Rose are really a stand out. They’re extremely ear catching and beautiful. They are giving this one away for free on Facebook!

Dubstep | anEVEmachine – All In Her Head (RoughMath Remix)
Posted by BP on November 26, 2013
It seems like it’s been eons since I posted about any outstanding new dubstep tracks. RoughMath’s remix of “All In Her Head” by anEVEmachine is somewhere between melodic and heavy dubstep, leaning much farther to the melodic side. The only thing non-melodic about it are the growls thrown in during the drops, which were a very pleasant surprise. The vocals are kept it tact for the most part, and overall this track is a pretty fun listen. Grab it for free!
Dubstep, Electronic | Felix Cartal feat. Ofelia – New Scene (CRNKN Remix)
Posted by BP on November 14, 2013
It’s always a pleasure to hear a new CRNKN song. CRNKN’s remix of “New Scene” by Felix Cartal feat. Ofelia is some pretty chill work. It could maybe be considered melodic dubstep, or just electronic. The vocals by Ofelia are very pretty, and the melody in this track is outstanding. This is out on Dim Mak Records and luckily is free to download!
