Hip-Hop | Featured Artist: None Like Joshua

21 years old from Atlanta Georgia and currently resides in New Orleans, Joshua isn’t your average rapper. None Like Joshua comes in with a style like MIke Shinoda’s, but dreams further than the stars rapping over some of the hottest dubstep beats. After asking him to tell me a little about himself, I came to the conclusion his story is better told by his own words.
“I had been drumming since I was 9, got into songwriting when I was 17. Made horrible beats in Garageband and horrible raps since I wanted to be like Buck 65. Copped Logic Pro 8, started making much better beats and raps once I heard the Bike for Three album, and then started remixing trip-hop and putting it out on YouTube by 2009. Then I was getting more and more requests and eventually someone requested dubstep. Everything took off from there. There are big plans underway that I can’t say, but it will all occur in time.”

Dubstep | Bassex, Megaclown, Fytch, and Skrillex Preview

Wolfgang Gartner’s new album is sick, and this new remix that Bassex just dropped today is EPIC. Bassex utilizes the pieces of the original track very well to bring this filth together. My ears hurt a bit…oh well.

Megaclown is building an empire out himself right now. The guy has been dropping track after track and each one giving fans a different genre to see him rock at. Going back to his roots of dubstep on this track, he did an unbelievable job with its build. Adding another dirty track to this post.

Alright, so this post has been a little different than how I usually assemble dubstep posts. I started heavy and now I’m going to end it with something a little more artsy from Fytch. That doesn’t mean the drop is going to go easy on your ears.

Alright so as some of you may have noticed in the past few hours this track has been floating around the blogosphere. Just to get the record straight, THIS IS NOT THE FULL VERSION, but it still pretty awesome to hear segments from Skrillex’s upcoming album. I know this says 320, but lets be serious guys, how many studio quality tracks do you know to be 6 MB. If Skrillex has learned anything it is to save the full studio quality tracks for the official release…which no one still knows when that actually is haha.

Mashups | Mochipet – 10 Reasons To Love Hate Dubstep (Mashup Album)

Anyone else remember a few months ago when the word on the street was that Mochipet left the music world because he found God….hahahaha. I feel like this mashup album makes up for Snoops terrible attempt at making a dubstep mixtape, if you haven’t listed to it yet, your lucky. Mochipet didn’t find God, and good thing to because no god would approve of this. He did a sick job on these mashups. I love how he didn’t stick with mashing in hip-hop as I thought he would. Not only did he mix it up with the genres he mashed into dubstep, but each dubstep track alone wasn’t just straight filth. Below are my top 5 tracks from the album.

Tomahawk by BT & Adam K was just featured on Armin van Buuren’s Universal Religion: Chapter 5. This track is just a medley of epicness, so much so that I don’t even know what to call it. This beast starts off as an unsuspecting trance track (in classic BT style) and then builds in some electro, until finally climaxing as an all out dubstep smash. I don’t know what to do with myself right now…
Dubstep | KoRn – Narcissistic Cannibal (Ft. Skrillex and Kill the Noise)

Before you get too excited, this isn’t the new album, sorry to get your hopes up guys. Even so, a new Skrillex song is a new Skrillex song, so we will take it for what it is. Narcissistic Cannibal is a single off of Korn’s new album, which is supposedly an all dubstep infused with metal project featuring other big name dubstep producers such as Datsik, 12th Planet, Excision, Noisia, and Kill the Noise. KoRn’s album is dropping December 6th.
