Dubstep | R Rated #15
Posted by Sev on February 9, 2012
Such a sick tune from Trolley Snatcha set to release on his upcoming Subtext EP on 2/13 . There are so many unreleased bangers floating around that need to be heard so I decided to preview some of my top favorites today. This first one High Rankin just put up only a few hours ago, but I already need this track. The build up combining with Nadia Ali’s vocals gives me goosebumps. This is definitely the best remix to this song I have heard ranging through all the genres. Australian native Filth Collins previewed this tune about three months ago and is set to release this month, but no exact date yet. This is a jump-up dubstep banger that is going to be rinsed out at a lot of shows once more producers start noticing it. For this last preview we have Bro Safari stepping out of his Moombahton comfort zone and dabbling with a dubstep remix that turned out to be a beat of a remix.

Dubstep, Videos | Krewella – Killin’ It Official Video
Posted by Mach on February 8, 2012
Chicago’s, Krewella only dropped this dubstep banger original a few weeks ago and now have a top notch video to match. Krewella has been on absolute fire as of recent, this video of Killin’ It is a great reflection of how they have progressed within the music community. The first thing people notice about them are the great vocals they consistently lay down on bomb dubstep beats. Killin’ It especially has some of my favorite vocals, undoubtedly killing it over this filthy beat. The production of the video was done by Chicagos, Radio Edit AV, who have done videos for Pretty Lights, Paper Diamond, Big Gigantic, Two Fresh, and Michal Menert. Radio Edit AV created a compilation of shows and shots taken outside Krewellas studio, The Krewella Funhouse. Leaving us with this sick video, showing the fans the lifestyle of dubstep and how the rest of us are missing out on fun times.

Dubstep, Electro, House, Review | Feed Me – Feed Me’s Escape From Electric Mountain EP
Posted by Mach on February 7, 2012
Feed Me dropped this killer EP yesterday, and I have literally had the entire thing on repeat since. Feed Me AKA Spor has had an insane career so far. As Spor, Feed Me was one of the most legendary artists in drum & bass and is still considered so. He created Feed Me, the green critter above as a new persona with the goal of creating crazy sounding dance tunes out of electo, house, and dubstep beats mainly. Though he still does some work in drum & bass as Spor, Feed Me seems to understand that his new persona is now his main one, and will surely continue to drop insane works such as this one.
As I said before Feed Me’s goal has been to create great dance tracks, and that greatly reflects on this EP, even on the dubstep tracks. Trapdoor which was the first track off this EP that we were teased with, has a sick vocal and dubstep blend. Relocation is the first time I have really ever heard Feed Me create a very strong uplifting house track, shows that the man does not wish to settle on one style of music. One Click Headshot is a laugh for anyone who has seen the youtube video that is sampled on the track, and once it drops….BOOM HEADSHOT! I get the feeling that on Embers, Feed Me had some guidance from Deadmau5 with the use of the chords, the track itself is built perfectly, too bad we never got a preview of it before the release. Trichitillomania (mouthful of a name) I have a feeling was meant for the sole purpose of being remixed, considering how basic sounding of an instrumental track it is until the drop at 4:30. Last is the greatly anticipated dubstep collaboration between Feed Me & Gemini, Whiskers. Gemini’s style is very smooth, melodic, and almost trance like, but that blended with the raunchy styling of Feed Me leaves us with one dope finale to the EP. Happy listenings.
Moombahton | Valentino Khan & Will Bailey – Rukus
Posted by Sev on February 2, 2012
Valentino Khan and Will Bailey dropping a massive Moombahton tune today through Mad Decent called Rukus. This tune has been an essential part of all Moombahton sets for the past few months but hadn’t been released. Big things coming for both of these artist as Valentino has already produced a track for T.I. This track has a great build and nice drop using the synth that everyone likes in Moombahton similar to the one heard in some dubstep tracks.

Mashups | DOSVEC – Rain Away
Posted by Mach on January 31, 2012
DOSVEC mixed it up a little this week. He went back to a dubstep mashup, but with a different, wobblier vibe. Being an old Red Hot Chili Peppers fan, I love the intro of this track, Adele’s voice sounds incredible over that guitar. Once the wobbles dropped I was slightly taken away, for the fact that I would have never thought to put wobbles with Adele’s voice, nor would I have though it would work as well as it does. DOSVEC undoubtedly with another top notch mashup BANGER!

Dubstep | Paul Thomas – Buzz Killington (Funkagenda Remix)
Posted by Sev on January 30, 2012
This track is a dubstep masterpiece. Funkagenda completely caught me off guard and blew me away with this melodic dubstep monster. When Mach told me to go check this song out on UKF the day it was put up, all I could think to myself was, “I wonder how terrible this song is going to be.” It was probably the worst call I had ever made, because this track has already hit 100+ plays on my iTunes and I have only had it for a few hours. I have been a fan of Funkagenda’s progressive house tracks for quite some time, but I never thought I would see his name on a dubstep track. Show him some support and get this track on Beatport HERE.
Dubstep | Bassnectar – Amorphous Music Mixtape Vol.7
Posted by Mach on January 30, 2012
Bassnectar creates some of the best dubstep mixtapes. His Color Storm mixtape was one of his best until he released this badboy today. It is a tease for Bassnectar to drop mixtapes like this, he is basically saying “look what I have!” Besides tracks from the King himself, the mixtape contains works from Giz-roc, Foamo, Mochipet, Minnesota, MyBack, and a favorite of mine from 12th Planet & Flinch. This bass filled mixtape is epic, and I hope he drops some of these unreleased remixes of his soon-ish.
