Here is another great electro remix from Lazy Rich, adding to the list of great remixes of this song. I really appreciate that he puts a different spin his remixes. Although I can always anticipate that I’m going to get a fat, meaty electro drop, the presentation is always a surprise. The short lines of big synths during the build are very cool. Even though the drop sounds a bit generic, the little things make a difference for me: the wide, fat synths, the layering and roughness added to them, the pattern they’re arranged in, and the fact that it meshes so well with the interesting build. It doesn’t feel like a cut-and-paste remix, where the drop could have been slapped into any other song.
Lazy Rich notoriously posts previews of these big remixes, including all of the juicy bits that get you jazzed up for the release – which in this case will be on December 3rd. You can pre-order now, or just wear the sh*t out of the preview. Either way, I encourage you to get excited for December 3rd.

Hip-hop artists! If you have been searching for a killer beat to drop verses over this may be the instrumentals for you. These instrumentals are phat on their own, I can only imagine what a wordsmith could do to this bad boy. It would be a difficult task considering the mood of this would have to be suited by the right voice, until then I will just bump out to “Cuban” on its own.

Live City are back with another splendid free remix. The duo deliver once again with this remix of cheery synths, indie elements of the original and a grinding, jarring drop to provide the thumping Live City sound. Many indie bands have benefited from dance music remixes that bring their name to a whole new swath of potential fans on a global scale. SxG the producer/DJ from Upenn sent this record “Fireball” over and I know a few DJs that are going to be happy. This undiscovered banger is sure to get a lot of college kids raging on the dance floor with a big build, and a hard drop announced by the tag line “B*tch, get off my dick.” This track is so good you’d think Hardwell’s camp sent this over, but nah, all DIY, produced in a dorm room. After a 10 month hiatus, Magnus & Timon returned a few weeks ago with a free track entitled “Svart” and they have just released another one. Like “Svart”, “By Myself” lends itself more to live events with the clubbier drop, but because of the superb vocals of MAGE and the indie popish break, it also makes for good listening in any situation. This is their first track that is not free so if you are a fan think about maybe supporting them.

Aylen’s spin on the popular Zedd song “Stay the Night” featuring Haley Williams has a dark, cool vibe to it. It’s definitely trap, but it has some elements you don’t typically hear in a party type trap song. It’s got some eerily warped vocals and minimal beats. My favorite part is the last drop about four minutes in because of the added synths. This track is free to download on Facebook!
