I always love opening my Gmail inbox in the mornings and seeing a new release from Milo & Otis in there. I know to expect some funky Moombah/100bpm banger to just be waiting to bump on my speakers. These dudes have been giving away free tracks for over a month now and it was about time they got a release on Beatport. This is such a dope remix of Black Tiger Sex Machine’s track that I cant stop listening to it over and over again. The build up and progressions in this track are fantastic; not to mention the laser synth drop. Grab this track on Beatport HERE.
Electro-House, Moombahton | Alvin Risk — Infinity EP

This new Alvin Risk EP contained a different side of Alvin we haven’t ever seen. I was sort of disappointed with this EP, not because he chose to do something different, but just because of the fact that some of the songs didn’t contain that appleaing Alvin Risk signature style that that fans have grown to love. I will admit though, I was a little disheartened when the we first got the EP track listing that his collaborations with Skrillex weren’t included. I should have seen if coming though being it does have Skrillex’s name on the track and all. With that being said, two out of the four tracks on here are pretty dope tracks. Survival has some of the most intricate combinations of laser synth sounds, alongside Sirah’s vocals. Same thing with Psychotic; bringing some crazy synth sounds along with an up-beat tempo. Infinity and Pray lacked the Alvin Risk esque style, which is why I wasn’t a fan of the tracks, nevertheless give each track a chance. You can grab the EP on Beatport HERE.

Alex Metric’s three song EP “Ammunition” utilizes an eclectic mix of Electronic elements for some dope beats. Right from the beginning, “Rave Weapon” brings a pulsing bass perfect for nights raving in Kazantip (a 30 day rave in the self-proclaimed hedonist capital of the world). If you’re trying to bust a move “Anybody Else” is your track. The final song, “Epichords” has uplifting synths then breaks down into electronic madness two minutes in.

SMKA is an independent music group that has worked with a plethora of different artists on various projects. If you aren’t familiar with Kato he’s a music producer out of Atlanta and he’s worked with major artists from Lil Scrappy to Roscoe Dash. One of the top artist in Moombahton, Bro Safari, has released his newest EP “Bros Gone Wild”. From the eye catching artwork to his unique interpretation on Moombahon, this EP is a definite must have. The EP pushes the bounds of a new style of music, because what you thought was Moombahton before you heard this EP will make you reconsider. I can’t say that I have a favorite on this EP because they are all equally diverse and appealing, but if I had to choose it would be Avalon (feat. LeDoom). The track starts off nice and smooth with a latin feeling drum and sliced vocals that slowly progresses into a ruff sounding synth Moombahton drop with a dope bounce feel to the track. This EP isn’t what you are used to hearing, but it is definitely worth the listen. Grab it on Beatport HERE.
