Electronic, Trap | Alison Wonderland – I Want U (Prod. by Djemba Djemba)
Posted by mimada on May 7, 2014
A little late on this one but in case you missed it last week, Aussie vixen Alison Wonderland dropped her latest track titled “I Want U,” produced by none other than Djemba Djemba. This track exhibits Alison’s sultry sound perfectly paired with DD’s basstastic flair. The visual pairing is, might I say considerably dark, and may throw you off at first but will eventually make you want to strobe the lights and behave erratically in your bedroom as well. Turn it up.

Electronic | AWE – Crystals
Posted by BP on January 27, 2014
After the Annie Mac BBC Radio 1 ripped version of this song was posted, fans have been anxiously waiting for the release of “Crystals” by AWE, a 19 year old producer from Los Angeles. He began working on “Crystals” eight months ago, and it is being released along side a remix of it by Djemba Djemba on Plastician’s label Terrorhythm. Most of his work has a video game influence, and I can hear that in this electronic anthem. Three minutes longer than the radio rip version, this release is mesmerizing. It’s easy to get lost in the synths and repeating melody. Check it out on Beatport and look out for more tracks this year from AWE.

Electro, Hip-Hop | SIRIUSMO – Nights Off (Djemba Djemba’s J Beibs Flip)
Posted by yabishcic on January 13, 2014
So I’m sure you’re all familiar with JB’s lullaby “Memphis” that has that longing feel to it, but you’re probably more unfamiliar with the music behind the artist. SIRIUSMO takes the infamous Djemba Djemba’s original flip on the song and created it his own, making it for a inevitable banger. As some seem to think that he stole this beat from Diplo, the real DL is that they both produced the final version on J Beib’s record, so just listen before you go pointing fingers… This song is fresh.
Electro, Trap | Electric Mantis – Flips And Flops, Drips And Drops
Posted by mimada on November 27, 2013
It’s finals time over here in the land of the Swedes but I’m taking a little coffee break to share some music that’s been helping me knock out all my work. Oregon based producer Electric Mantis brings us this delightful electro-trap track appropriately titled “Flips And Flops, Drips And Drops,” perfect for those currently listening to artists along the likes of Flume and L D R U. In fact, I have to credit one of the hottest music blogs on the internet right now for bringing this track into my life – that being Djemba Djemba’s Soundcloud Stream. You can read all about Electric Mantis’ success story via Reddit here, meanwhile I’ve got to get back to reading the past three weeks worth of assignments. Whoops! ¯\_(?)_/¯

Trap | Elos – Auto (Djemba Djemba & King Henry Remix)
Posted by Nick on November 2, 2013
For those of you who have been a little out of the loop, half of Penthouse Penthouse got arrested for trying to get his DJ equipment out of a warehouse that was being raided by police. The bad news: his bail is crazy high (around $20,000). The good news, however (if you could call it that), is a lot of artists have been putting out new music in an effort to raise money to help the homie out. So, Penthouse’s label Team Supreme just released a mixtape (which can be found on Bandcamp HERE) with a bunch of donated tracks from tons of talented, supportive artists. Put your part in, and make sure to cop a download of this remix of Elos’ track “Auto” by Djemba Djemba and King Henry. It has a bassline you won’t forget – definitely a Saturday-night-slap. #FREEPENTHOUSE.

Progressive House, Trap | London Future & Djemba Djemba – Look At Me Now (feat. Ifa Sayo)
Posted by yabishcic on October 21, 2013
I’d say this recent drop is in the realm of progressive trap, which is where a lot of trap songs have been headed over the past couple of months. With a awesome collab between London Future & Djemba Djemba, this track SLAPS. Ifa Sayo’s voice is absolutely stunning over the trap heavy beats and progressive synths that ride you out all the way through to the end – such a fresh new track.
